Didn't last very long, exploded after 3 months, had to return the original bulb which I've been using for about 5 years now. I was really disappointed. In the long run I'll buy a real lamp, it's cheaper.

Great price, easy installation. I had to restart several times for it to work. Not sure if it was a programming project that needed a reboot or a lamp. After about 20 minutes of troubleshooting and reviewing an online guide on what the blinking lights mean, we were finally able to watch the movie. Same picture quality and brightness as OEM.

Fits perfectly with my ViewSonic PJD5523w and eliminates the flickering I experienced from my original lamp after 1200 hours of use. I replaced the glass filter with the one in my original unit after reading that some units with a third party lamp housing overheat. Not sure if that's the case with this unit but in case it was just a screw and fast. I haven't noticed any color change from the new bulb.

In other words, exploded in the projector. Unfortunately, I looked at several items and decided on this one. Pretty much matched the OG lamp I had with the projector. This lamp has been running for about 4300-4500+/- hours which is over. The lamp I received matched the one I had before and fitted easily into the projector's lamp body. Installed a new lamp, reset the clock to it, let it run for a few minutes, then turned off the projector, waited a minute or two for the projector to turn off…

Do not buy. After 6 months it just exploded in my projector with normal use, scattering tiny pieces of glass everywhere and ruining the mechanics of the projector. Now I need to replace the projector. I encourage others to avoid this frustration and expense.
