I installed the black cartridge, it seems to work fine but when I had to replace the yellow I installed the yellow. The printer did not recognize the yellow cartridge. So I opened and installed another new one, the printer still doesn't recognize it, now I have three bad ink cartridges and my printer won't print. Now I have to order more cartridges and wait for them to arrive before I can print. I cannot recommend these cartridges.

The title says it clearly: Ziprint is compatible " Replacement ink cartridge for Brother "MFC-J497DW". The ink cartridges sent are not compatible. The cartridges sent have the correct number on the packaging, but they are included with our Brother MFC-J497DW printer. The attached photos show our original Brother cartridge with clips and counterfeit cartridges without clips. Counterfeit cartridges will also not fit in the Brother printer. I have purchased several replacement cartridges for my Brother printer. When I tried to replace the empty ink cartridge with a new one, the printer did not recognize the replacement cartridge. I followed the printer instructions and tried different cartridges at least 4 times. It was a waste of my money

I have an expensive Brother printer and although the ink cartridges are correct I printed 5 pages of schoolwork paper with colours. The ink smeared across every page, which annoyed me. I ended up buying an OEM that worked. I tried to return it but I should have been charged for shipping so I chose not to return it as it would result in a loss of money.

I have been using other brands of ink in Brother printers for a number of years. This ink is terrible, after a few weeks in the printer, my printer suddenly says that the x ink cartridge is empty. No, it's more than 1/2 full. It doesn't matter, you have to take it and throw it away because it doesn't work.
