Description of Computer case Fractal Design Define 7 Light TG black

P/N 735053Define 7 is the latest addition to the award-winning Define Series, setting a new standard for what a mid-tower can be expected to achieve in terms of modularity, flexibility and ease of use. Anodized aluminum front panel with double-sided hinges for hanging on both sides, easy to open and close with a magnetic lock. The design is optimized for silent operation, with front, top and side panels with effective sound absorption. New multifunctional brackets convert any unused fan footprint into a slot for installing a hard drive, solid state drive, pump, or water cooling tank. The new chassis design allows you to fully open the inside of the chassis on three sides for easy mounting and cable routing. Easy changeover of top panel type from sound-absorbing steel panel to ventilation panel with filter. Tool-less clip-on top panels provide quick access and prevent accidental drops. Supports radiators up to 360mm at the front, 420mm at the top, or 280mm at the base in a standard Open layout. New multifunctional brackets convert any unused fan footprint into a slot for installing a hard drive, solid state drive, pump, or water cooling tank. Ventilated power supply shroud with two-piece removable cover. The detachable PSU cable shield and integrated Velcro cable guides further simplify cable routing behind the motherboard. Easy to clean high airflow nylon filters on the front, top and bottom, with full power supply coverage and easy front access.

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

I will highlight the main points. This is my third FD case. Considered buying Fractal and only Fractal, this is love. The last Torrent, however, disappointed me, but we will not dwell on it. Define 7 compared to the previous R6 is already more elaborate and pleasant to assemble and operate: - Slightly larger in size - Instead of screws on the side panels, there are already latches (very convenient), - Removing the front panel from plastic stops has also become more convenient, - All the same…

Pros
  • - All in the comments
Cons
  • - I initially knew what I was buying, so I didn’t really get to the bottom of anything. But I will make one point. During the assembly process, when you don’t particularly know the design and specifics (and the instructions will not help here), you may encounter the fact that you will have to disassemble and reassemble everything. Let me give you an example: I assembled almost the entire system, it came to connecting and mounting the HDD on the rear panel, and then I realized that the basket is fastened with screws from the inside of the case, and in order to remove it, you need to remove the plastic partition and unscrew these 4 screws. In order to remove this partition, you need to remove the metal holder for the CDROM, which, in turn, is on two screws, which can be unscrewed only after removing the entire front panel. Plus, I also had to remove the radiator, which was also located on the front panel, because otherwise it would not have been possible to remove this HDD basket.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

The workmanship is very high, I was impressed!, I did not expect . before that there was a Thermaltake Shark - it feels like I moved from a Zhiguli to a good Volvo and now I understand what kind of tin a thermaltake shark was (n. B.!: not all thermaltake sharks are the same! Surely there are excellent corps). In general, it was difficult to find a good case for a workstation with two RAID1 (two mirrors of 2 HDDs) and one SSD for the OS, that is, only 4 x HDD 3.5 "and 1 x SSD. I moved the…

Pros
  • Workmanship, noise isolation, vibration resistance, excellent ventilation, side glass
Cons
  • Once the fan squealed at startup . I don’t know what it is, whether the fan is defective or its design feature. In a year or two I will probably change them to something with hydrodynamic bearings. I figured it out, this is a problem with a small 50 mm fan on the motherboard, so the case has another +

I love this case, although for my current system it is clothes "for growth", for future water cooling and a few more hard drives. The pleasure of assembling can only be compared with the Lego designer, well, or the furniture of the untimely departed Ikea. I can only complain about the inconvenience when connecting the buttons on the top panel (I would like a single block, and not haphazardly connecting with tiny connectors) and a thick, "oak" USB 3.0 connection cable, when you try to bend it…

Pros
  • Well-thought-out design and package, plenty of space for wiring, easy access to the case from any side (the walls are fastened with latches, not screws), intelligible assembly instructions.
Cons
  • Tight USB connectors, the absence of a diode for indicating the operation of hard drives.

This is my 1st case for such grandmas. When I saw him, I immediately knew that this was the one. I took it in black and white, because I just got tired of the black boxes. Pros: This is a technological masterpiece, for short. Each (more precisely, the Swiss crown) is not invested in sweatshirts, etc., but in real functionality. Hinged front door, snap-on sidewalls, plenty of room for wires, 185mm for absolutely any tower, modularity (as far as possible). Shumka and top, front and side. Got…
