This is very useful if you have a 120mm fan on the back of your case as an air intake. A month has passed and you can really notice how much dust it is collecting. This should get in the way of your screws, just slide them onto the fan and you're done! Of course, make sure that if you have a suction fan, the filter is BEFORE the fan. You could also put them on an exhaust fan, but I'm not sure how effective that would be. back of the body

I used a couple of these on an old case that didn't have fan filters. I covered the 120mm fan mount on the bottom of the case that I use for extraction and also used a filter on the front behind the plastic grille where I cut off part of the steel frame because it was restricting airflow. I've used these filters before and they're easy to clean, either with compressed air (remove filter and spray against the direction the air would normally go through the grate) or, even better, with a vacuum…

They were easily added to a pair of unfiltered fans in my case. The mesh isn't the thinnest I've seen so it doesn't really catch very small items, but they don't seem to reduce airflow and are scratch resistant. I assume they will probably reduce the dust to a reasonable degree, but not completely. The time will show. They are definitely good enough to catch human or animal hair, so they are good for pet owners.

This filter offers excellent airflow with low noise, but has very small openings (approx. 0.5 mm). The screen is probably pretty flimsy, but it has ribs and a rigid bezel that give it good rigidity. I used them on two 80mm fans in the bottom of the case. I installed them as air intakes to better direct airflow up from my top fan and to ventilate the inboard PSU fan. I have a case in the shape of a cube so the mobo lies flat and is not attached to the side of it. They arrived sturdy, somewhat flexible and fit my case against my fans. I don't know anything about their dust tightness yet. I need them for cat pelts and I know they won't be absorbed by my fans anymore.
