I sent it back and got this -1172 version that the post office recommends and it fits perfectly. However for the price it's pretty cheap as they don't come with all the parts you need rather than assuming you'll take them off the old lock but it works. I purchased this to replace an old lock on a USPS Community Centralized Mailbox. The lock would fit perfectly; Unfortunately the key was very stuck in the lock I received. The lock comes with a key which is a problem. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the key out of the new lock. I had to pick it out with tools (which took a lot of effort). If I had that installed I wouldn't be able to manually pull the key out. This lock also does not come with the metal clip or washer needed to attach it
