💇 Red Conair miniPRO Tourmaline Ceramic Travel Hair Dryer - Folding Handle for Enhanced Portability Review

I've been looking for the best hair dryer for travel in Europe for 5 weeks and I'm so glad I chose this one. It worked perfectly across Europe with no power issues. I also used it with an Italian series BaBylissPRO overlay diffuser that fits perfectly. Now this is my travel dryer even in the US as it is so small! It literally fits in the palm of my hand and I love that with the dehumidifier and diffuser combo I don't have to take up as much space in my luggage. Countries where I have used this:

Bought for a trip as it was small and compact but after we went on a trip and I pulled it out to use it only lasted 5 minutes and turned off . My hair wasn't dry yet. Wouldn't buy this again. Apparently it overheats after a few minutes and you can't finish drying your hair. Yes, it finally cooled down enough to turn it back on, but by then my hair was already dry. If you don't have baby hair, it won't dry out your hair without overheating and shutting down.

My significant other LOVES this hair dryer! She says it works great, isn't too hot or heavy (read: doesn't burn your hair or your hand falls off when holding it), and it folds up for travel! She uses it every day and wants me to buy another one before they stop making such a great and great value product! That's praise from above, all of you!

I bought this for a trip to Ireland due to its small size and dual voltage. The size is good and small for travel and the dryer works well here in the US; not as strong as my normal dryer, but perfectly adequate for its size. I will add after a trip abroad. I've only used it a couple of times but so far it's a good little dryer. It's light and quite small when folded, slightly larger than the palm of my hand. No frills, just low and high speeds - no cool shot button, but that's not the feature I was looking for. It even comes with a detachable hub, although attaching it was a bit tricky. I don't think I'll be deleting that part anyway, so no big deal. I love that it folds up and fits perfectly in my carry-on.

Powerful enough for a mini hair dryer, compact and lightweight for travel. Dual voltage is very helpful. I used it by switching to 220 volts and connecting a UK plug adapter. Please note that you cannot set it to a high value if you switch it to 220 volts and run it on that current. But the low value will be much more powerful than when using 120 volt US power. This is a safety feature so you don't fry the device and yourself. This is normal, not a defect.

I have had this product for less than 5 months. During that time he turned off for me, started to melt and smelled burnt. I should have solved this problem sooner.
