It's really very important!

This metal pizza pan is your answer to real pizza. Ready in less than 10 minutes Crust bubbly beautifully charred golden brown base crispy excellent

Perfect pizza on a casserole dish

Made a great pizza. I preheat the steel in the oven to 500 degrees for about an hour before placing the pizza on top. The crust turns out to be nice and crispy. Almost like a pizza oven. The pizza was ready in 7-8 minutes.

good steel. Not insanely difficult. Works perfectly

Large round piece, not stainless steel. Not too big for a domestic oven or a typical chef. Denser than claystone. similar weight. Thinner. Works great and unbreakable. I keep mine under large pan lids.

Better than an oven stone

I tried two different pizza stones before buying. It gives me the look of leopard spots that I can't get with regular stone, it's easier to clean and I don't have to worry about it cracking in the kiln. I love this stone, just wish I had gone for a larger size.

Cooks great but be careful of sharp and unrefined edges.

I think the pizza steel cooks pizza perfectly but it looks like they just cut it on the machine and didn't finish the edges so it's very sharp and worked for me actually cut in the finger unpeeled like what i made in my shop without caring about aesthetics.

Great pizza good for casserole

Really amazing. This is definitely a game changer in the practice of making homemade pizza. The pizza comes out with a completely cooked bottom and the crust is nice and crispy. With steel preheated to 550F, the pizza cooks in 7 minutes. The finished pizza is just as good as the pizza from the pizzeria. Now I can get rid of all my pizza pans and colanders.

Hard and thick best in kitchen and dining room

This product is 3/8 inch thick - ideal for mass producing pizza. This steel stays hot in the oven with the door open, pizza after pizza. I'm crazy about conditioning all my own kitchen steel and cast iron so I don't need a pre-treatment coating. But it's great for people who are new to this style of baking. I love this steel!

Wonderful. Why not all?

Fits my toaster. I've been aware of the lack of baking steel in my life for some time and remember seeing them in the kitchens of famous bakers/chefs as a kid, but I want them to emphasize the importance/necessity of using them to their full potential scoop your food. They couldn't exaggerate.

A good solution for pizza in the oven

This steel is a good compromise for baking pizza in the home oven. It could be a bit bigger but then it would be heavier, fitting a 12 inch pizza. It could be thicker for better heat retention, but it's fine if you give the steel time to recover between pizzas. Steel would make it heavier. Pretty easy to clean. It will deteriorate a little after use, but that doesn't matter. Have you ever looked inside a commercial pizza oven! -Price, very good pizza steel.
