We ordered these for wandering around Puerto Rico. We burn pretty easily, so we needed hats with brims, but we were going to humidity central and needed a little breathability. We also hiked around the El Yunque Rainforest, where it, surprisingly, rained. (We're from Phoenix, AZ, where it's usually not rainy or humid. This is a great sun hat! Perfect for floating on the river for hours and not walking away crispy (with sunscreen application and reapplication, of course). My friend said I looked like "a cool baby," so keep that in mind when picking out your outfit. 😂

It appears quite floppy until you get it broken in, then its fine.The things I really like about it are:Extremely lightFolds completely flat for ease of travelWide enough brim to keep the sun off my nextOnly looks mildly goofy, hahaGood value for a travel hat. I used it on boat rides while scuba diving. It never blew off, always being snug on my head but not at all uncomfortable. The draw string keep it tight under the chin.This is definitely a good buy for me.

What sold me on this is the mesh crown. Thought it would be perfect to shield the sun but still allow for the head to breath and not get too hot. It you work outside in the sun this hat may be perfect for you.

I have taken up hiking and this Boonie hat with it’s fun color is great. It’s lightweight and not too tight on my head like some. It is adjustable so you can make it fit more tightly if needed. I don’t know how water resistant it is, but for sunny days at least, it’s great. Mostly the colors are great because you have so many choices.

Havent even tried it on yet but noticed right away that there arent any snaps to put up the brim. In 1 of the 2 pictures for the black hat, it shows the brim snapped up. Thinking about returning and shopping around. Hat looks good otherwise. Just annoying that the picture is not what theyre shipping out.

I didn't like the fact that the hat was to big to begin with and when you used the drawcord to tighten it, the hat looked like crap. They need to produce at least two sizes instead of one size fits all.

I play a lot of shuffleboard in the hot Florida sun. This hat is light and airy and keeps the sun out of my eyes and off my face. It has a chin strap so that when the wind blows you can keep it on. It was easy to find on Best Buy, was priced well, came in very quickly and I love it. Comes in several colors.

Hat works great, keep the sun off most of the face. Nice to able to tighten the hat size. Best Buy shipped it folded in half, had to work hard to get the crease out

This is a very reasonable purchase. The hat serves its purpose. It has a wide brim that provides ample protection from the sun. I do wish that the brim were a little more sturdy. The hat came folded in half so the brim has a crease along the middle (front and back). I'm sure this will resolve with time or a washing. A sturdy brim would increase the rating to a 5 star.

I like this hat. It's easy to wear, stores flat if you want, and the price was right. I would buy it again. The mesh material may allow insects to enter!
