They are great. Made my living room look sophisticated. Small round button in front; Simply touch it on the base and the bulb will cycle through different levels of brightness. To switch off, simply press the button several times. The same applies to turning on the lamp. I used a USB charger and it works. They match the decor of my country house. The linen umbrellas are beautiful and they were packaged very well. The hues aren't loose or uneven as one reviewer said. I would always buy them.

The lampshades are fully assembled which was crucial for me unlike some others on Amazon (you have to wrap the lampshade around the frame, not that high quality). I love the look of these lamps and I love the 3 lighting modes but I can't stand it when the lampshade doesn't screw on so it rotates just reluctantly like crazy. Also, I'd like to pay more attention to which side the USB and jacks are on, because they really should be on the back, tucked away when not in use. They would look a lot prettier that way. Looks like nice lamps but in reality they seem smaller than the photos, especially the bedroom photos. Unfortunately, they looked too elegant on the sideboard in my dining room. The shades are only 5-6 inches deep so when you look at them from an angle they look REALLY thin. The USB ports on the front are also unsightly and look worse than I thought. So go back. I learned a lesson from previous returns to take photos of how they fit in the box so you can put everything back as it was originally
