Every compressor must be installed like this.

I recently bought a new vertical compressor. As with almost every vertical I've looked at, the OEM Twist Open dump valve is so close to the bottom that it's difficult to open by hand at best. This solves the problem perfectly. They were always on all the air tanks on my 18 wheel vehicles and I never had a problem with moisture build up as it was so easy to just walk around the truck and tug on the cables to take it off.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Tractor trailers have these for quick deflation of the air tanks, no gloves, no wrenches, just pull the cord. In the past we bought them at a truck parts store to drain a high rise compressor. As an airbrush artist, I also use a smaller portable tank and place it on top. He steps on the gas every day of the week. I drew the attention of many artists to her. They're a lot easier, regardless of your compressor and settings, meaning you'll empty your tank more often. All air compressors I've come…

Pros
  • Power Transmission Products
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Doesn't always fit properly and cable hurts fingers

I bought a couple of these in 2015 to supposedly make it easier to bleed air out of my M35A2's receivers, but I just replaced them with brass quarter turn valves . What I didn't like about these conduits: 1) The air tanks took longer to empty as the airflow was much slower. 2) The cable was too thin and I hurt my hand standing and pulling the cable (I'm sure I could cover the cable with hose or something, but see reasons #1 and #3) 3) Those valves didn't always come back and land properly…

  • Control Cables and Accessories
Cons
  • Thin
