RGB is really RBG for lighting and ceiling fans

Works well with Google Home. I can give him orders and he responds quickly. It's sensitive to noise and can reference my music. It was also easy to install and set up. However, blue and green are opposite colors. So if I want blue light, I have to ask for green. If I want purple, I have to ask for yellow. I have a feeling there should be an easy fix for this, but I can't find one.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

The house almost caught fire!

I have at least a dozen of these controllers - rgb, rgbic, rgbw, and rgbcct - and they all worked fine until Thanksgiving, when I could smell the distinct odor of burnt electronic parts. Sure enough, this new one I just hooked up was on the verge of burning down my apartment building. Thank God I was home and there were no injuries. But I had to share it, hoping it wouldn't happen to anyone. I will be replacing my other devices as it came too close to my liking.

Pros
  • sparkles
Cons
  • problems

Everything works fine when connected to WiFi, no complaints. I don't know if the DHCP IP TTL expires or something, but once the connection drops it never tries to connect again so I have to disconnect and reconnect to get back online. I haven't tried assigning an IP address directly from the device, but I'm not sure if it's possible yet. I'm considering setting up a static IP address for this at some point, and I'd recommend you do that as well if you decide to do so.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Nothing here

Alexa only knows the basic settings because it's easy

That's cool and all. I switched to this from a skinny remote the size of a credit card. Sometimes I lost the remote and it frustrated me. I already have Alexa why not. For me it was an upgrade. I've never had lights synced to music, so watching my lights dance to Conrank was quite satisfying. My favorite setting is a 7 color fade at around 33%. However, I was disappointed to learn that Alexa does not know this setting. I think the only settings she knows are on or off and individual colors. If…

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
