Money well spent. This little adapter makes connecting your Wii to your HDTV simple and easy. As we all know, the Wii came out over a decade ago, before HDMI was the standard HD connection it is today. You connected your Wii to your TV with all those bulky component cables. Well, that's a thing of the past. Just buy one of these adapters, all you have to do is plug one end of an HDMI cable into it and the other end into either your HDTV or amplifier and you're good to go. It is so easy. Make a…

Better than cheap component cables

It still has some image noise, most notably in the Wii's home screen menu, but it's not as bad as the $10 component cable set I bought from Amazon last year. The picture is definitely better than cheap component cables, which performed better than composite cables. I'll probably buy Retrovision component cables in the future, but the games I've played have looked fine with no noticeable lag, and for $7 it's really good. He does what he says he will do.

The Wii does not support upscaling to 1080p. And this device doesn't just magically let you upscale to 1080p because it connects. I need to widen the picture on the TV to get rid of the edges. So not really 1080p. It's upscaled to 480p and bad. While better than the native square Wii image for me, this item is not a 1080/720p device, just a zoomer.
