Fry almost instantly

Fry almost instantly This is absolutely NOT the 240W advertised. It outputs 24V, but nowhere near 10A. If you're going to be using this thing near its intended rating for more than 2 minutes, you're using it outdoors. The smoke it releases as it inevitably fails and roasts is pretty awful. Just buy an extra battery and connect them in series.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Has flaws

Work well, there is already another job!

Works great so far (3 months), runs a couple of 48w LED bulbs from a small power supply, draws less amps at 24v and nice bright headlights for my driveway - so will be adding more bulbs I'll let you know what's going on in the future by also fitting 4-48w LEDs in a friend's 4x4 buggy and using a step up to 24v with a relay switching them to a higher voltage - me like her

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

No, if the rated power is longer than one hour.

I have two of these boost converters 12 to 24V 10A. temperature, and when off the cooler feels cold. The input voltage is 12.6V at 7.5A. The output is about 3.2A. The maximum current was less than 100W (24V at 4 amps). So where is 240 watts, 10 amps at 24 volts? I would like to know. It looks like both have a bad connection between the power transistors and the thermal clock (housing). Having bought two stones more than a month apart I have to believe they all have this flaw. Now I have 2…
