I love this little coffee maker. It is made of durable stainless steel with a stainless steel basket, basket cover and handle. Most coffee makers have aluminum baskets, which are unhealthy. The outside of the pan is an attractive polished steel. The handle protrudes to avoid the heat of the flame on the gas stove. Bought a Farberware Yosemite Perculator to replace the coffee pot as the handle snapped off (luckily it came off in the wash, not when I was pouring boiling hot coffee)!
