This is a very quiet, powerful USB powered multi-purpose fan with 4 bars on rubber grommets. I have a built-in wall cabinet with a glass frame door to store my multimedia components. Although the back of the case is open and there is only a black mesh curtain on the back, it is warm all around the amp. I bought two of these fans; one that replaces the Thermaltake USB fan I used on top of my AV receiver so air is drawn in from the top and expelled from the back. This fan improved airflow and performed very well or better than before, dropping temperatures from 120°F without the fan to around 80°F with the fan. I bought 2 of these fans to cool the amp that is in a media cabinet with less than 2 inches between the top of the amp and the bottom of the amp stands next shelf.
