copper tape really works!

I have a raised garden bed for strawberries that slugs were ruining. The copper tape was so easy to place around the 6x 6 garden bed. It's been in place for several weeks I haven't seen any slugs.Works great!

Pros
  • Does not require special handling or training
Cons
  • May require additional sealing for proper protection

Great for stopping electrical interference!

I use this stuff all the time with electrical equipment, especially music gear. A friend of mine has an A/B/Y pedal that was the noisiest pedal I ever heard. He was super frustrated with it and was about to return it but then I coated the entire inside of the pedal with this tape and it went from being super noisy to dead silent. I also use this to shield electronics on guitars and basses, it works every time. If you're experiencing an electrical buzz with your gear then I highly recommend…

Pros
  • Can be used for shielding electronic enclosures
Cons
  • May not be as conductive in certain applications

Great product for guitar faraday cage

I bought the Kraftex copper tape to build a faraday cage in my jazz bass before installing new pickups and a AUDERE AUDIO Pro Z Preamp And this tape works fantastic I also notice they had 1264 five star reviews for there product can’t go wrong with that , if I ever need to shield the cavity of another bass guitar I’ll definitely buy again from kraftex thanx Ron

Pros
  • Precision manufacturing ensures consistency
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of equipment

It shields a guitar very well

I gave it three stars on easy to remove because I don't want to remove it. I am not sure how easy or hard that would be. However, It seems to meet all my expectations.

Pros
  • Can help reduce electromagnetic interference
Cons
  • May not provide enough shielding for certain applications

Good quality on my review.

This is much better than the Stew Mac foil I had been using. Thinner gauge, easier to handle and work with, the adhesive backing is much more conductive. I tested the foil for back to front conductivity right away and it tested very well. Only thing they need to do differently is change the tape they use to secure the roll during product packaging. When peeling off the tape to open the roll, it began pulling the foil away from the backing paper. So a less aggressive PSA tape is advised for that

Pros
  • Helps reduce interference between electronic devices
Cons
  • May require special treatment for cleaning

Works great! best in my review

Shielded my Fender Stratocaster that came with noiseless pickups. Well. I didn’t know it but they weren’t! This stuff made a huge difference. I also seen the directions here later. I didn’t solder anything for the Faraday cage. I used strips of this to the screw holes of the output jack etc. just make sure everything has contact somewhere. Be it a wire that’s already there or this stuff. I honestly just used this stuff thinking it would be a cool project. It was super easy. Then noise went away

Pros
  • Can help prevent crosstalk between wires
Cons
  • May pose a health hazard if handled improperly

Great tape for shielding your guitar

I have never shielding a guitar before, so after watching a few videos on how to do it, I decided to get this tape for the job. This tape is awesome! It came off the roll easy and I overlapped each piece to make sure it would work correctly. Checked my work with a multi-meter and I'm good to go. I have heard that people have gotten little cuts using this type of tape, but I didn't get a single cut and I was working without gloves on.Next time, I need to shield a guitar this will be the tape…

Pros
  • Ideal for use in high-frequency applications
Cons
  • May not be suitable for long-term use

Exceptional results.

I utilized this product for my Les Paul classic and a Stratocaster. The size, in addition the price, caught my eye while browsing. I placed the copper within my pup, switch, pots and jack cavities with exceptional results . I plugged in through my all tube combo and the static charge is at a significantly reduced level. The experience of working my instrument improved. It is a pleasure to hear that tone come through clear. The follow up e-mail in regards to my order and additional customer…

Pros
  • Ideal for use in electronic design and development
Cons
  • May not provide suitable grounding

Great for guitar shielding

I used this to repair my noisy guitar. When you tighten down the output jack it is supposed to make contact with the aluminum pick guard shield to reduce/eliminate noise. Apparently, my aged guitar stopped making a good electrical contact there. So, I cut out some of this copper tape, stuck it over the aluminum foil shield and that made a good electrical contact.Another good thing is that you can solder to this copper shield. I soldered a short wire from the shield to the ground on the output…

Pros
  • Provides a strong RF signal barrier
Cons
  • May require special storage to prevent oxidation

Great for ham shack projects

Good quality copper tape, adhesive seems plenty strong. Cons: (a) it takes some fingernail work to remove the backing but that's common for all these tapes, and (b) as they note, beware that the edges are VERY sharp. I installed the tape in a radio I was building and drilled some holes thru the case and thru the copper tape. All good. except I noticed my finger was bleeding because I had snagged the copper and didn't notice it. Ah well, they warned me!

Pros
  • Can be cut into smaller pieces to fit any project
Cons
  • May be difficult to remove without damaging underlying surfaces

Good quality shielding tape.

Little pricey but great quality. Be aware of what you are doing while working with this tape, it is made of metal. I got complacent and cut the crap out of my finger while shielding the pick guard of a Squire Strat I’m upgrading. Adheasive works great. I can’t speak yet for the effectiveness of shielding as my guitar is still in pieces but assuming I did it right, it should work great.*update: After assembling my guitar I noticed that there is no hum or buzz whatsoever when plugged into an amp…

Pros
  • Provides a clean and professional appearance
Cons
  • May require additional maintenance over time

Excellent for electronic isolation inside guitar cavity

I used this product inside my Strat electronics cavity and on the back of the pickguard to reduce the noise from the pickups to the pots. Worked GREAT! I then put it inside a Jazz bass and, Voila!, less noise . even though the Jazz pass was not particularly "noisy". No rating for "remove" because I haven't, and won't!

Pros
  • Adhesive backing requires no additional tools
Cons
  • May require special installation instructions

Tape for slugs? YEA babby!

I'm a slug, or so my wife says., and I love this tape! I use it for Radio Frequency suppression to minimize imposition of EMF in my sensitive electronics projects. And, It works perfectly. I also lined all of my electric guitar electronics with it for an excellent suppression of noise and it works perfectly. My recommendation is to buy 2x what you think you will need because it is so useful. WARNING. they say it's anti-slug, but It didn't keep me away! Ha.Ha.Just a Joke :-)

Pros
  • Protects against electromagnetic radiation
Cons
  • May not provide enough EMI shielding for certain frequencies

This is not a true copper material

Had to find out the hard way by actually trying it. This copper adhesive tape is not real copper. Someone mentioned it's 99.9% copper but it's actually mixed with other metals/materials resulting in poor conductivity. You can use this tape to make a tiny 2 to 4 cell battery pack, but do NOT use it on building a large battery pack more than 18 volt and do NOT use it for high current. Your battery pack will lose connection and lose charge. The metal on this tape is also VERY soft. I don't…

Pros
  • Affordable price point
Cons
  • May require additional insulation

Easy to apply - my new review

This was essential for shielding the body cavity of my strat-o-various. Not to sticky. Cut 1” strips. Slight lip to connect with the shielding on the pickguard and input jack. The noiseless pickups are indeed noiseless. Well, at least there’s no hum or static.

Pros
  • Crafting
Cons
  • May tarnish over time

Great for guitars.: my feedback

Easy to use, sticks well, cuts well, and offers great continuity. I used it for shielding in a couple of my electric guitars and it did exactly what I’d hoped it would.

Pros
  • Can be applied to curved surfaces
Cons
  • May not be easy to find in certain regions

Great for eclectronics but beware!

Great tape.i read that it was sharp and would cut you.when i starting using it I laughed about the reviews saying such.Halfway through the project i looked at my hands and there was blood all over my fingers from extra fine paper cuts.Nasty little paper cuts everywhere.needless to say i am literally typing with bandaids on multiple fingers.I was warned.the tape is so soft your mind just says no way its going to cut.famous last words.especially if your a guitar player.haha

Pros
  • Ideal for DIY electronics projects
Cons
  • May interfere with other electronic signals

Bye bye snails - my new review

I was having a terrible problem with snails eating all my flowers in my patio planters. Wrapped this around each planter, making sure to overlap the ends, and poof!.no more snails munching on my flowers.I was skeptical when I read about this snail solution online, but I am happy to report it works. Also, this brand is standing up to SoCal sunny weather and watering, no problem. No peeling or damage.Good price for the two pack.

Pros
  • Provides reliable protection for electronic components
Cons
  • May not be suitable for certain types of components

Fantastic!: my feedback

This worked great for shielding the inside of my Fender Jaguar! I wasn't sure if it would be enough but i barely used any of my roll for all of the cavities ! This tape is pretty thin too, so it can do it's job and you don't have to worry about slicing your fingers open on the metal. This is going to get used on further shielding projects in the future, for all my band's guitars and my Hohner Pianet T. Happy customer!

Pros
  • Adhesive backed for convenience
Cons
  • Only available in one width and length

Used this to shield my Fender Strat and it worked Great. So I had for a long time plugged right into the amp without using pedals and some times I would notice a Hum but it was but mostly very low or no-Hum at all. But lately I have been using more pedals and the Hum on when playing my Strat has been more noticeable and annoying, What I had also noticed is that on my Les Paul (Humbucker) there was no Hum. So I did a little research and people suggested using copper shielding and IT WORKED! It…

Pros
  • Provides excellent heat dissipation
Cons
  • May require protective gloves when handling
