Useful tool to have around.

Very low priced, this is good to have around for the odd flaring task. I usually use Swagelock types, but the equipment required flare fittings. It is similar to what I had from Western Auto when I was a teenager. If you properly prepare the tubing you will get a strong reliable double flare. I used this on the copper/nickel "Never rust" tubing. I did a couple of practice flares first, simply because I had not done it in a while. If you have any experience at all you will have no trouble.

Pros
  • Muy buen producto y fácil de usar
Cons
  • Takes up a lot of storage space

A great product very easy to use.

This tool saved me a ton of money. I had to replace some of the brake lines on my Audi. I was able to cut the new brake lines to the correct size. Then using this flaring tool put the proper ends on the new lines.

Pros
  • Good value for the price. I use it on steel alloy tubing.
Cons
  • Difficult to connect to piping

Don't buy, doesn't come with cutter

There are tons of these kits out there that come WITH a cutter, go buy that. I was dumb and didn't look close enough in the picture. Don't be me.

Pros
  • worked well for small job .
Cons
  • it's a good little kit but my 3/16 punch came crooked which messes up my flares

High quality but still hard to use.

Get ready to use some muscle and go through a couple tries before you get it right. Definitely be sure to use a good pipe cutter and clean up the cut before proceeding.

Pros
  • Good and affordable addition to the tool lin up
Cons
  • this set was ok for the money

Great tool for the price!

Worked exactly as it should. Just be sure to practice a few times to get the feel of it before you start making your real fittings.

Pros
  • Loveit great addition to my tool box!
Cons
  • Price does not match the product quality

Great tool good for me

Worked perfect to flare the lines on my dad’s car. I thought about renting this tool instead at first, because I didn't know how long it would take me to do this before I bought it, but now I’m casually dropping to friends that I can and will help them with their cars 😅

Pros
  • Nice, heavy duty tool. Comes with a carry case for the same price as others with none.
Cons
  • Does not work

Surprised by quality

Works great, good price , I just needed the pieces for the inverted flares to use with my well made flaring kit that's 50yrs old, I figured the rest of it would be flimsy. but it's not, it actually all seems to be well made , sturdy. You cant go wrong with this kit , would reccomend

Pros
  • Just what is needed for the new brake lines
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with other types of tubes

This ain’t it for my opinion

I never make negative reviews on ebay but this time I had to. This made 2 consistent bubble flares and then it broke. When I tried using 1/4 tubing inside the 6 mm hole I just would do it, and the tool always got stuck inside the tube. Most annoying thing I’ve bought off of ebay. I should’ve spent extra on a quality tool.

Pros
  • Perfect for what I needed it for
Cons
  • Can result in leakage if not properly installed

Makes consistent reliable bubble flares on NiCop tubing.

I was worried that the flares would be inconstant and require multiple attempts to get a good seal. The kit comes with a gage to ensure that you leave the amount f tubing sticking out of the clamp to properly form the flare. The first tie I used it the flare was perfect. I used it on the Nickel Copper tubing results on regular steel line may be different.

Pros
  • Blow molded hard plastic storage case keeps tools contained and organized, provides a convenient handle for easy transportation and portability.
Cons
  • Loose or missing parts in the package

It worked great for a one time project

I needed to flare a copper 1/4 tube for an outdoor gas lamp/post. I couldn't find a pre-made copper tube with a flare nut anywhere so I had to buy this tool to make one myself. I've never done this before, but with the help of YouTube videos I was able to flare 1/4 copper using the already installed 45 degree cone and it worked like a charm.

Pros
  • great tool works perfectly
Cons
  • Difficult to use for beginners

Not good for steel tubing

Couldn't double flare any of my 5/16 tubing just pushed it right through. Even with a vise grips clamped into it. Fragile plastic parts.

Pros
  • I used this to make up and replace all the brake lines on a 04 mini cooper.
Cons
  • Fragile plastic parts

My year civic decided to use all bubble fittings. I only had a double flaring tool so I decided to get one that would work enough for fixing a few brake lines. All my lines were done using 3/16 steel lines.Pros:Successfully made 16 bubble flares with no leaks on steel brake linesDidn't break horribly enough to not continue usingCons:The tool that grabs the line slips on the pipe unless you crank the wing nuts down all the way.The wingnuts aren't threaded correctly and I eventually stripped the…

Pros
  • Works perfectly and double flares can be troublesome. Great purchase and price !
Cons
  • The cutting blade easily becomes dull

Tool is great on brake line.

If you are carefully and follow directions, it will help makes some really nice flares. Educate yourself with a few youtube videos and search the internet for some tutorials. I was able to successfully double flare both ends of a nickel copper 3/16" line on the first try. Kit including mini tube cutter and reamer. Completely satisfied.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can be difficult to get replacement parts

Works great on brake lines

For an inexpensive flaring tool, it works really well. I have done copper/nickel and steel brake lines. No leaks! Limited instructions manual.

Cons
  • Limited instructions manual
