Cat Anxiety Jacket: Vet-Recommended Thunder Vest for Calming Cats During Fireworks, Travel & Separation Review

Product arrived exactly as expected. It's easy to put on (in my opinion) and fits my adult cat. Unfortunately he didn't react well to that and we ended up having to put him down. We bought it because it won't stop itching and scratching, we've tried pretty much everything and this was our last hope.

Our cat was always anxious and chewed his tail when he was very nervous. This completely eliminated that and he meows less too. I give him a break from his jacket every few days so he can brush his fur. When he starts biting his tail again, I put my jacket on and he's fine. I wish I had known that many years ago. This is a simple idea that really works!

This product is not worth the price as the cotton (polyester) blend makes a perfect purebred kitten, that's the only reason I won't buy it again - more. I wish it was the best buy. especially. with price tag and all. My little one isn't comfortable either, at least not suitable. So in that regard, not all sizes will fit most/all. That's why I'm giving it one star out of five. Revain customer and Prime member since 2015.

I had a kitten with excessive meowing. I suspect he was separated from his parents too soon, but he had two owners before he came to me, so who knows. I got this as a calming vest. I accidentally ordered a medium size instead of a small but gave it a try anyway as the waist belt was wide and secured with velcro so it wrapped tightly. Didn't help with his meowing. This thing barely fits. He started sneaking around everywhere, becoming lethargic and depressed. We tried to give him a few days to get used to it, but it just kept getting worse. He's very scared and licks all his fur, so we were hoping to a) calm down and b) not get to that fur. Instead, he just lay there developing a rash all over his body and losing fur that he couldn't reach with his tongue. I do not recommend this product at all. Our cat is used to wearing a dog sweater and as another reviewer pointed out, putting on a cat's sweater is directly related to the fact that their legs have stopped working. She CAN move and gets used to it. I ordered medium and the back length is a bit long for her. I feel like it limits the use of their hind legs. The neck is rather small.
