Bought this phone for my 100 year old mother who is hard of hearing despite hearing aids. The phone works fine, I can hear her and she can hear me. it was a problem with the last phone she had. very happy with it

It's good to have volume options, but you can't turn the volume low enough or high enough on a speaker. Also, it would have been nice to have a switch to turn off the ringer, although the low ringer setting is pretty quiet. The phone is reliable; it is not unbalanced like princess phones. A landline phone is useful for making calls to areas with poor cell service.

There was only one jack to connect the handset on the base of this phone. I couldn't plug the phone cord into the wall outlet. There was no connection for that. The instructions were on the packaging and very difficult to read. I think the base is not suitable for the phone. I returned the phone. I felt it was of very low quality and was upset that it didn't live up to its description.

I wanted this phone for when the power goes out and my cordless phone isn't working. We live in a hurricane zone and use a land line in case we don't have power for an extended period of time. It has a nice loud ringer and lights up and the sound is great. I had an old touch tone phone that no longer worked and was so happy to find this one and it was a great price. Definitely happy with this purchase!

My mother loves it and considers it her Mother's Day gift. It's loud enough that she can hear it on TV or in another room. Everything came as described. The only downside is that she doesn't hear any beeps when she calls the phone number to let her know it may work. We both like its heaviness. That doesn't make you think you bought a piece of junk. I took it out of the box, connected it to the base and hung it on the wall. Phone plugged in and the beep sounded. He hung up on the base. Picked up and got nothing. Pressed the "hang up" button several times and finally unplugged the cable and plugged it back in and the beep sounded. hung up. And he fell off the base. The clip that lifts up to hold the phone doesn't stay in place. Returned.

Bought for my 87 year old mother who is in a nursing home. She has hearing problems, so it helps if she flashes a red light when she calls. The tone of the call is actually quieter than expected, even on the "hello" side, but my mom said the tone (or pitch) of the call is different so she can hear it better. The best part is the actual speaker inside the phone. My mom can now hear what people are saying without us yelling or repeating what we are saying, and without using the red boost button…
