Red Lite Crochet Hooks, 🧶 Size F 4mm - Cornerstone Products Review

I love this hook for making dark yarns shine and it moves very smoothly in yarn stitches. The size differs from my Susan Bates F 3.75mm hook and this F 4mm hook. I'm glad I noticed the difference and didn't order a G hook for my project that required 4mm, G in Susan Bates but F in a lighter hook. Otherwise I'm very impressed and will probably order more.

First I accidentally got the hook size F. I thought I just had another G hook color that came up in my search. Sorry, different color = different size. Then I ordered the size G needed. I like the simple idea, good for crocheting in low light while watching TV. But I hate the plastic crochet hook - it doesn't work well with the acrylic yarn I use to knit a baby blanket.

I love these hooks. I also use them without lights and find them very comfortable. I bought 100 batteries on eBay for less than $5. However, I've recently noticed that where I thought the batteries would drain fairly quickly, the batteries are just a little weak. I just put thick paper on the batteries under the cover and that was enough to hold them in their sockets better. I haven't changed the battery in a very long time since I found this out. I don't know how many "good" batteries I threw…

I don't like this product. I passed it over the competition (with detachable heads and dimming/brightness options) because I figured it would be better for me - more stable and I only wanted one size. While that's still true, the design of this product is terrible. It's so bright it hurts your eyes to look at it. Since the aim is to reduce eye strain, this seems like a design flaw to me. Maybe it will be better when the batteries run out. Or maybe it's better for people who need a super bright…

Really cool idea, but some design flaws, one worse than the other, 1) the power button is right where my little Finger rubs against it while I'm working on a crochet project and this happens regardless of whether it's checked or not. The button is kind of sharp, not smooth, hence uncomfortable. In other words, it's likely to cause a blister on my finger if I'm doing a big project unfortunately. 2) The actual light in the hook is EXTREMELY BRIGHT! In fact, it's almost too bright to look at when…
