If you buy DDR4 3600 C16 it's actually C18

I'm not judging by the detail itself but rather by the fake product listing. This product is listed as: CORSAIR VENGEANCELPX16GB (2X 8GB) DDR4 3600(PC4-28800) C16 1.35V Desktop Memory Part number: CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18 When I received the item I noticed C18 on the back of the box. I checked it on the Corsair website and in fact it is listed as a 3600 C18. I thought they sent the wrong part but this turned out to be the correct part but C18 not C16.

Won't run above 2666MHz on 1st gen Ryzen

I tried running this at the advertised speed and thought some BIOS updates to my AsRock Fatality B350 would help. And no matter what I did, I could NOT run it faster than 2666MHz on my Ryzen system. I thought it might be the motherboard. But I'm happy with my setup. Here are my numbers in case you are in a similar situation: 15 16 16 16 35 51, @ 2666MHz. Update 2021: Note this was before when I had a Ryzen 1700X. It runs at 3000MHz on Ryzen 3rd Gen.

32GB is too much for gaming!

Let me tell you that these flash drives worked great for my current setup. Motherboard firmware to the latest version and install these sticks as a dual channel setup. Switch DOCP to "Automatic" and it will automatically find the most efficient setting. Set your desired frequency to 3000MHz and voila! 32GB at 3000MHz with no lags and dropouts. Better than anything? You don't have to search for Samsung B-Die to achieve stick speed.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I don't remember

I ordered 32GB of RAM and after my computer kept crashing into a blue screen with lots of different errors like "Page error in nonpageable area" or "Critical error" or Memory_error, I ran a memory test and found that the memory was indeed defective. I ordered a replacement and after a month of using the replacement it started again, I thought it might be my OS so I reinstalled it but the errors were still there, I tried using only one memory card and found it to work fine, but one card failed…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons

Runs great at 2666MHz

Got this and installed it in my new Ryzen 5-2600 build. I have a Gigabyte B450 Aorus M motherboard. The new PC started immediately with no problems with the RAM, the processor or the mobile device. After reading that most RAMs can be overclocked since they are all basically 2400MHz, I used the Gigabyte EasyTune app to overclock. The app makes it very easy as you don't have to enter any numbers in the bios. The app does that for you. All you have to do is select the speed you want. It runs…

Make sure you update your BIOS if adding this pair to another set

I made the mistake of adding these two sticks to another set (same make/model) to install. Somehow it broke my machine so much that I had to reinstall Windows. I have no idea how my C: got corrupted by this, but I lost my SQL database and had to spend about 4 days reinstalling programs and then recovering my database. It happened that my mainboard only recognized 2 sticks at first. Then two more came along, but all of the RAM ran at a much slower speed than it should have. Profiles in the BIOS…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Crumpled
