This is not "Toasty" but better design and toasting than what we bought a few years ago. UPDATE One month after the end of the return period, the heating element failed. Find a replacement elsewhere.

Making toast in this machine is difficult as you have to turn the bread as there are only two elements. My last unit had three so toasting was even for two slices of bread. It is also VERY hot and burns objects quickly. I donate mine to charity and buy something else.

The right button broke because it didn't go to 0 seconds and we forced it to 0. I wired the extended plastic on the back of the button and we're not forcing it anymore. When we're done, we turn the left knob to 0 degrees and just leave the right knob where it's stuck during timing. Guess what? Now let's watch this until it's done.

It really is a piece of junk. Immediately after unpacking, the floor heating did not work and could not get satisfaction from the seller. It's nothing but old Sanyo toast. Too bad they still make them as they have been working fine for years. We ended our relationship with this product by throwing it in the landfill.

The door can only be opened when the device tilts forward. The glass door and the exterior of the unit become very hot and give off heat, making it impossible to hold the unit to open the glass door. Shipping - no boxed, came as if you walked into the store and bought it off the shelf. I cooked the onion rings in toaster mode and they turned out good, but there is a toxic smell inside. This is a reliable stand toaster. We have a tiny kitchen and this was the only toaster that fit in our space. The timer and heat controls work well, and the stainless and black materials go well with the rest of the kitchen appliances. We love that we don't have to fire up a large oven (which we also need to empty from storage (yes, our kitchen is so small) when we have a small tray, skillet, crumb tray, sliding stand, and cookie sheet are all well made. Overall great value for money.

This stove is the right size for my space but it doesn't realize when it's hot! So useless! Here's how it works: 1. Set the dial to the desired temperature. 2. You turn on the timer (which is constantly ticking) which starts the heating element. That's all. I received my toaster tonight, loved the sleek design and decided to try it just to see how it would toast bread. If you don't move the lower bowl, the bread will only be toasted on one side. It doesn't work for my husband who has a hard time cooking. Only 2 slices of bread are needed, not 4. If it came with an extra rack it could toast as many slices as the description says.
