Craftsman 42-Inch Hi-Speed Tow Lawn Sweeper, CMXGZBF7124266 Width Red Review

Previously owned one just like this one. Had such good luck with it decided I wanted another just like it. It is a great sweeper for lawn and leaves. The basket mesh on this one is a little bigger which is nice. I find the secret to lawn sweeping is you need to go slow not to fast. This is a great sweeper!It would make it easier to put together if they would somehow mark the parts.

Unpacked the sweeper and started to assemble, I was all the way to the end and discovered I was missing parts (the bag support bars). I was given a number to call to order new parts, why am I ordering new part for a product that should have all its parts?

Does an excellent job on picking up leaves and a good job of picking up pine straw. Instructions are somewhat hard to follow due to the lack of good illustrations. I’m 69 and put it together in about 1.5 hours by myself. I have a zero turn lawnmower and had to have a drop hitch made to lower the sweeper hitch to be able to pull the bagger level with the ground. The hitch needs to be approximately 10” off the ground and the hitch I had was 12.5” off the ground.

I live on 2 acres with a double row of pine tress on both sides and the very back. It does an excellent job of picking up the cones, small sticks and the pine needles.

This unit was advertised as having six brushes but mine came with only four. Six brushes was the primary reason that I choose this one.Other that that it was easy to assemble and worked very well the one time that i've used it so far. If it had the six brushes as advertised I would have given it 5 stars

Had to wait an additional 2 weeks for parts that were missing upon receipt. States made in America but the sweeper bag has a "Made in China" tag

I like the steel framing but feel the catcher bag could be of a higher quality. I use it for leaves, pine straw, grass pick-up. There are places on the catcher bag that could be better re-enforced. I already have duct tape patching and it's brand new. The little metal cap for the end of a small round rod came off and caused the rod to bend. Cap won't go back on. I have a lock wrench on the rod to keep the catcher together.

I find this to be a terrific sweeper. Much better than the grass blower assembly I was considering. Storage could be a little problem in the garage. Need to cover it outside with a canvas.

I have approx 1 acre with 5 fully mature Pin Oak. Emptied the catcher 3 times and entire area was free and clear leaves AND small branches. Reduced the amount of time to clear by half? Maybe more. Only question is why did I wait so long to purchase.

Fairly easy to assemble. Works well. Could not get the height adjustment to work at all. The rope also kept getting in the way and finally just broke. It did do a good job picking up grass and branches. Just not the best quality product

Saved me hours of raking leaves. Fairly difficult to assembly but well worth it. Have 2 people when assembling if possible and watch the you tube videos. The instructions are not great

This is a great sweeper, but Craftsman really needs to improve their packaging. I picked up two Craftsman lawn tools, this sweeper and a trailer to tow behind the lawn tractor, and both came in such minimal packaging that it makes them prone to dents or damage. I think they're packaged in a way that they would normally have been shipped to a store. So they'd be on one truck just shipped to wherever they're going, with minimal moving and handling. Unfortunately, this item arrived damaged in delivery and I was thus not able to fully assemble and use the product. I was so disappointed because craftsman is a great brand and I have a enjoyed many of their products over the years.The item was just placed in a cardboard box with zero padding around it. I bought this even after reading all the bad reviews, knowing my yard is not perfectly level i hooked it to the mower and went all the way around my yard with it and learned where the unlevel passes are and took 10 seconds and unhooked sweeper and used the mower to blow the stuff into the level passes (the clean ones) and took 10 seconds and hooked up the sweeper and went to those areas and swept it up no problem my yard is clean. you have to learn your yard, use the adjustment height setting…

I’ll start with: the lawn sweeper works well (now that it’s all together). When it arrived the box was slightly damaged, but no more then I would expect for something of this size. Opened it up and found a random 4 inch bolt lodged between parts that were already assembled. Scratched up the paint (but I figure it’s a yard tool, who cares about scratches) and I couldn’t see where that piece went. Ordered first one, corners torn and parts (spacer bars) missing.Ordered a second one, corners of box also torn and parts(rods) missing.When you send back, you have to take apart and try to fit everything back in the box and arrange for UPS to pick up. What a hassle!

Once I got it together it worked fine.The directions on how to mount the fabric to the frame could have been more precise.
