Literally Elmer's Glue

The smell immediately smells like glue, which is unusual for this brand, and the putty itself is very sticky and difficult to remove, also unusual. It was only recently removed from their website, although I'm not sure why.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No

We LOVE to think kitt!

Thinking Putty is great for kids, but also for restless adults or those who need to work their energy with their hands. The putty itself has a wonderful texture and I love how glossy and beautiful it looks. It was a big hit for my little cousin who loves unicorns and magic!

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • unreliable

Helped My Friend - Novelty & Fun Toys

I have a friend who has harassment disorder and this play dough gives her a chance to focus on something else. I bought it for her as a work aid, but now she uses it all the time: watching TV, driving long distances, just sitting and relaxing, work meetings, movies, you name it. She can just throw it in her purse and go.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Very sticky good for slime & putty toys

We have lots of smart putty around the house - same brand. None of them were as sticky and rough as this one. It was useless. It left a slimy residue on my daughter's hands (and mine) and the consistency was unlike other products from this brand. It was really awful. Washing hands with regular soap did not help remove the residue. We threw it away. Maybe just a bad batch, we love this brand of putty and nothing like this has ever happened.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Lots of things

more goo than putty

My daughter was looking forward to this piece of jewelry. But it was liquid chewing gum that stuck to everything rather than plasticine that wiped everything the kids put on. I found these "hidden things" - plastic pictures floating in this liquid - stuck to the floor, counter, etc. Full disclosure - as a father of 3 young children, I don't like this slime/putty. /whatever it is. But even my wife and daughter did not agree with this material. Keep it away from the living room!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Great idea, bad result

The idea behind it is great. I'm a pediatric OT and really hoped I'd enjoy it. Putty is more like glue. Even opening the container was a problem as it was sealed due to the consistency. The students I tried using it with couldn't stand the chemical smell, and neither did I. I tried rubbing the "putty" with my fingers to see if the consistency would change, but to no avail. Due to residue, you must wash your hands after use. The hidden items are very small and thin, so some of them are already…

terrible. Sticky dirty.

We used to have Aaron's play dough but never had a Hidden Object play dough until I bought this and another at the same time. You are terrible! First, it's almost impossible to get them out of the tin in the first place as all the putty has stuck to the top and sides of the jar. Upon opening it was a gooey mess. I thought it might be because it was delivered on a hot day. I threw away the jar and packaging, put it in a plastic container for easier opening and left it for a couple of days. It…

Cons
  • Only available in white

Unusable, NOTHING like the previous clear ones

If I could give zero stars I would explain why. Rainbow Thinking Putty (clear with glitter) and although I have to be careful when applying it can still be used, I also have some thicker types of putty from the same brand, Aarons is usually really good stuff so I'm extremely disappointed with this one . Messed up I gave the jar the benefit of the doubt when it arrived with a mostly taped lid and that weird oily residue everywhere, thought maybe it would cure and be usable indoors rather than in

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
