Perfect size to cut 5" charm squares quickly and easily. Dashed one inch markings increase visibility - which improves accuracy. Highlights the 1/8"markings which are hard to use on traditional rulers. Black and white dashed 1/8" markings show on both light and dark fabrics. The 3/16" marking printed along the length of each side of the ruler are the perfect width for cutting wool bias strips for appliques. Exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!

Efficient and precise Quilting ruler

Stays on fabric

I really like the ruler's non-slip fabric handle. It's long enough that you only have to change its position once to cut the fabric to the right width. The only thing I would wish for is slightly bolder inch markings. Those old eyes must be diligently searching for customs markings. But I grab a ruler to cut accurately.

Too many markings makes it difficult to read

Me love Creative Grids lines and have several. This size is handy but it has so many lines that it's hard for me to read. I've mostly used it as a straight edge, for example cutting diagonals, used for my 12th -inch rulers are too big but I don't use it for cutting because it seems really error prone If you need all those tiny marks it would be great, or to cut 5" squares but otherwise I would for general quilting stick with the more traditional CG rulers. I like the size so I bought this but I
