This 20-1/2 inch square features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1 inch grids marked in 1/8 and 1/4 inch increments. Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the 1/4 inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The 1/4 inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances. Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature – designated by the easy to read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the 1/2 inch grip sides – to add the 1/2 inch seam allowance. A 45 degree angle is printed in black and is used to trim half-square triangles to size. White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the square so the center of the ruler is easily distinguishable. Use these lines to square up blocks based on four-patches or embroidered and appliqued blocks. The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!. Total Size - 20-1/2in x 20-1/2in

Rulers Creative Grids

When I first ordered this ruler they sent me the wrong ruler but now I have the right one. I love this ruler for cutting strips and then blocks.

So easy to use. Sewing

I was able to line up 10 blocks of 17.5 inches. Without this ruler I would have ruined them and ruined my entire quilt. This rule was a lifesaver :-)

Fantastic ruler, bad packaging

product is fantastic, my problem with the packaging, I have to return the ruler and order a new one, because of bad packaging, the first one was missing a corner, they throw paper and wrap the ruler not a!

Perfect for my needs

This square is perfect for my needs. I'm terrible at cutting squares without a template and this was exactly what I was looking for. I added some tape at the bottom to keep it from moving around the material and it works great. I can finally finish the quilt I started years ago!

Great line for the second time! The first was poorly packaged - came with a tear on the ruler.

I had to arrange a return right after receiving it so I wasn't that happy. I reordered another one so I hoped it would arrive undamaged. I got a new one and this time it was attached to a piece of cardboard to keep it from tearing. I'm happy to cut with it! I like the non-stick texture on the bottom to stay on the fabric.

Arrived damaged

Everything is fine with the ruler. I was very excited to receive it and started using it immediately. I was cutting a few squares when I realized there was a chip on top. It didn't affect the cutting edge so I kept using it. Later I checked the packaging to see if I could find the chip. So I didn't find it. I have never dropped it so I assume it was delivered in this condition. I didn't send it back as it didn't affect the cut.
