Light falls sideways, but not down.

As expected, these lights look unique, but they didn't work well for my application. The light bars are on the outer (vertical) sides so the light shines outwards. I had them in a couple of pendant lights in my kitchen and they don't spread the light straight down very well. They would work much better if they weren't indoors if it were a facility.

Not very bright and shimmery

Color at 3000K is excellent. It looks like a cloudy day. Not too warm and not too cold. However, it is about 150-300 lm less bright compared to my 1000 lm IKEA round light. It puts out about 800 lumens or less. When I turn it on with my Lutron Maestro, it flickers at full brightness. It has a smooth transition to the "off" position. I tested this after resetting the dimmer and setting the light threshold low.

Looks great but not too bright.

I needed a bulb for my single bulb bedroom ceiling light. The lamp is exhibited in a fixture without a diffuser. This Edison bulb looks really cool in a fixture (not the color!), and it's not too bright to look at directly. 3000K is a good compromise between 2700K (too amber) and 4000K (too cold and harsh). However, it doesn't light up the room very well either. I first tried the 10w version of this bulb and it was pretty dull. This 12w bulb is better but still a bit of a hassle. It might not…
