The product does not work very well

Worked for about two months although the sound quality was always poor. It was so bad I thought my speakers were going. then it stopped working so i plugged in some music via the aux port and everything was perfectly clean.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are nuances

Volume is best in automotive and automotive electronics

Works as advertised. It connects directly to the xm module and the bluetooth connects directly to your phone. But after the first day I switched from the XM1 station to the XM3 station and now the sound quality is rubbish. It's so quiet you can turn the radio up to maximum volume, but it's still only half the volume you want.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Unreliable

XM doesn't sit behind the glove box of a 2013 Chevy Avalanche.

This gave me high hopes, but unfortunately it doesn't work on the 2013 Chevy Avalanche LTZ because the XM module isn't located behind the glove box like on last year's models. At the moment I am very disappointed with this unit as it was falsely advertised as working fine for my particular vehicle. SMS

Works well but behaves strangely.

In general, everything works as expected. But the volume control is a bit strange. Not sure if it's internal software on the device or Crux. On my LG V40 it doesn't get very loud at all after a few uses, like it fades out on its own. Although it gets louder when connected to my Samsung Note 20, it distorts over 60% of the phone's Bluetooth volume.

Great concept but doesn't work

It connects to my phone about 1 out of 3 times when I start the car so it's very frustrating. I thought it might be related to my phone but my phone connects to my other car via factory bluetooth every time. The sound quality is lower than with Aux. cable, and on my 2012 GMC Sierra, satellite radio is eliminated upon installation. So if it works, it's not enough to be satisfied with the product.

  • Great price

Does not work well. Hasn't worked for a long time

I bought this product for the first time at the end of March, in August it stopped working and I ended up buying another one. The second block also went down recently and it is now December. So they seem to last around 5 months and work pretty well as long as they last, although there are some connection issues which I wanted to address but a complete failure after a few months. I can't buy them again. Hopefully they can offer an explanation or do something about it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Good but not great

Buyer beware of Car Audio

Worked fine for 5 months and died like many others. It will no longer be recognized by any device you try to pair it with. There were always weird pairing issues to be able to stream it from day one. Crux customer service is non-existent. They once responded with the typical "You tried to reset your device" excuse and then just stopped responding. If you're buying this because of a busted AUX jack on a GM car, buy a new $200 touchscreen radio instead. Buyers be careful. FYI: The company's own…

Saab 9-3 with XM/SAT NAV. Everything is OK.

If you have 9-3 from 07-12 with sat nav, it works, only with sat nav. It's a normal device, sometimes it doesn't connect and I have to turn off the car immediately, it doesn't happen that often but it's enough to bother me. Sometimes it doesn't connect automatically and doesn't receive hands-free calls because it doesn't have a microphone. It's not the worst device ever and definitely a very clean solution compared to attaching a dongle to the AUX port. It's quite expensive for what it is, but…

The best option before a complete radio replacement!

I installed this unit on a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ with an XM radio. The device was just plug and play and I was streaming through the XM radio in just minutes! The photos that came with the instructions were hard to see as they were printed in black and white, but other than that the instructions were very good. It's really not a difficult setup, but good directions should always be expected. This was the best option for bluetooth before the factory radio had to be replaced with an…
