Perfect even for cornhuskers

I just had veneers on my front tooth and wasn't allowed to eat corn on the cob...how to tell a Nebraska born and bred woman not to eat corn on the Pistons. I was so sad because it was the middle of the corn season. Ha ha...my uncle said it would work. I tested it and bought it for myself. Better than no corn on the cob.

Best corn cutter tool I've ever used

I thought it was a bit silly but for cutting and milking corn on the cob it's by far the best tool I've ever used. Great value for money. I have an OXO and it was expensive and this one put me to shame. To milk candy corn, turn it over and use the other side. The shape is ideal for milking without hardened cob pieces.

All in all it does the job.

Great little invention/tool. However, it was extremely difficult for me to get a full good chunk of corn. Make sure you're cutting away from you and not towards you (otherwise it won't work). I used a pot with high sides so the corn doesn't fly all over the place when it comes off the cob. It takes some pressure and it's hard to do it flawlessly. Overall I was able to get the corn off the cob as advertised but it was a lot of work and it usually took 2 scrapers per area to remove all of the…

Safe and easy to use cleaning knives

I bought 2 different models hoping one would fit me! Compare medium sized corn cobs side by side. I am 8 weeks post-op from arm surgery so ease of use is a BIG PLUS! At first I used the one you piston feed through the middle. It would only go 2 inches down the cob and then stop. It wasn't safe to push it any further, and it wasn't impossible in any way. Then I tried corn zip. I loved the grip and how comfortable it is! The tool worked flawlessly and was easy to clean afterwards! The protective…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I liked the texture of the handle which gave me a good grip on the tool. The cutter blade is shaped to match the curvature of the corn cob and once started it cut through the corn kernels very easily. So light that I had to release the pressure on the blade touching the corn kernels. I found that a light touch works best. I removed corn kernels from 16 ears in about 10 minutes. The resulting mess wasn't a mess at all, my hand got wet from the starchy liquid and all I had to do was wipe up the…
