Great little charger!

This powerful little charger works great! Charge a fully discharged battery in 28 hours. And yes, you have to plug it in! What chargers do you know that do not require an external power source other than solar? Some of these reviews are so wrong. Buy it, use it, you can't go wrong, it's well made and won't burn down your house.

CTEK Charger and Maintenance

Ideal for marine battery maintenance. The trailer boat runs about four times a year so it is sheltered for most of the year. CTEK maintains the battery to keep it running smoothly. Keeping a charged battery extends battery life. I recommend CTEK for battery life.

Battery Life - Chargers

My 5 year old bike's battery fails to fully charge after say 4 days. After using this charger, the battery will keep a full charge for at least 8 days. Typically, these batteries only last 3 years. The last C-Tek charger I had was an old model and didn't seem to rejuvenate the battery the way it does. I have C-Tek pigtails connected to my cars as I usually leave a charger on them to tidy up their batteries. I can fully recommend this product.

Cables are easily damaged

I used the charger to charge the 2 year old batteries in my F250 which barely started the engine in cold weather - the Batteries have been working like new ever since. So the charger works exactly as advertised and it's nice that no fire causing Ctek reviews were found like the cheaper brand you'll find here. However, the cables are quite fragile and should power a cheap household appliance, not a tool that works in harsh environments. Overall it's a good value - it saved me $400 on new…

I had a bad charger for a few years, I didn't think you could plug it in and get going. It got so hot that I expected a fire to break out at some point. I bought this CTEK and made a good purchase after charging a dead battery for the first time with a new one. It costs about twice as much, but if you expect the battery to charge, it will. The indicators on it show you where it is while charging and if there is a problem. The device is quite small compared to the one it replaced, but it charges

The jaws are too small for a secure hold; incomplete manual

Clips on cables supplied with the CTEK CT5 Time to go charger do not open wide enough. The clamp will not securely connect to the positive post of my RX350 battery if the vehicle's positive cable is left connected to the battery. The clamp connects to the car wire connector, but not secure. This loose connection will affect the "Charging Time” LEDs on the charger depending on the positioning of the clamps. CTEK clamps should be larger. As reported by another reviewer, the user manual is missing
