Review on πŸ”‹ CTEK (40-255) CT5 Time To Go 12V Battery Charger & Maintainer with Accessories by Darrin Lucas

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The jaws are too small for a secure hold; incomplete manual

Clips on cables supplied with the CTEK CT5 Time to go charger do not open wide enough. The clamp will not securely connect to the positive post of my RX350 battery if the vehicle's positive cable is left connected to the battery. The clamp connects to the car wire connector, but not secure. This loose connection will affect the "Charging Time” LEDs on the charger depending on the positioning of the clamps. CTEK clamps should be larger. As reported by another reviewer, the user manual is missing the first four pages of English instructions. I had to get these sites on the internet. The user manual does not explain what the Recond program mode does. It says to use the Recond once a year after a deep discharge, and the battery is "recovered" by the "Recond program" What does all this mean? Impression for a product that costs $100.
