We have the version shown in the picture and it's good. I expected to get the same block in the picture. What we received is of poor quality. The device we received indicates that it is a cucina pro, but it looks like a cheap fake. It weighs a lot less than the original Cucina Pro. I can't tell if this is fake or if Cucina just lowered their quality. The real part of the pan appears to be of lower quality and lighter. We'll check it out and I suspect we'll be back. The original CucinaPro waffle maker (with handle) was well designed and worked great. The heart shape was so cute and a nice change from the round design. But mine died after 8 months of use. The company sent a replacement that was much lighter and seemed cheap. They removed the beep feature (which was annoying when I first got it, but I got used to it and started to really rely on the beep).
