The capacity, quality and performance of this blender is amazing!

This thing mixes like no other - a real mix demon. The annoying thing is that when you plug it in and turn it on (or if it was already plugged in and turned on and went to sleep) it has a "splash screen" that lasts "forever" (read: 5 seconds?)"Hello" in the wonderful world of Cuisinart. It's a blender, not the Starship Enterprise - just TURN ON and MIX.

Good Choice: Small Appliances

My Kitchenaide blender broke and I needed a replacement. I thought about getting the vitamin but I just couldn't take the cost. The only thing I use the blender for is making smoothies, and I couldn't justify spending that much money just to make smoothies when I know I wouldn't be using any of its other functions. Of course, Cuisinart wasn't cheap! I've had it for three months now and make smoothies with it almost every day and I'm very happy with it. It works MUCH better than my $100…

Dangerous and scary!

Scary! Dangerous product! Recieved today. I made smoothies with him. Big. I used the "Delete" function. It worked out well, THEN I made another smoothie, which turned out well too. I liked this blender. Before . .I tried cleaning it again. I rinsed out the container, filled it halfway with warm water and added a few drops of dish soap as before. . I selected "Clear" and "Start" and the blender IMMEDIATELY STARTS EXHAUSTING GRAY SMOKE. LOTS OF IT! There was a strong smell of burnt plastic. And a

Best Kitchen Appliance I've Ever Bought

To be honest, anything negative about this blender would be an exaggeration based on some sort of misrepresentation with no factual basis. It's amazing, powerful and affordable. I buy Cuisinart whenever I can because everything I've ever bought from Cuisinart has been of the highest quality. Sometimes the pinion shaft is not aligned when installing the box? Yes, rotate it 1/4 inch with your finger and then put the glass on. This is normal for this type of device. Aside from being powerful, it…

Out of service after 4 years of very rare use - not satisfied

I bought a Hurricane in 2017 to make smoothies. It worked very well at first, but after about 10 tries in 2017 I lost interest in liquid meals. The car then sat useless on my counter for 2 years (2018 and 2019). In 2020 I decided to take my diet and nutrition more seriously. I started making yogurt and fruit smoothies every other day from November 2020 and continued until July 8th, 2021. When I started my smoothie today (July 10th) I found that the switch on the back of the machine would not…

Doesn't bother with noise, good blender, nice features

Reviewers are praising the power and flexibility of this blender, and having just made a Cusinart recipe for Italian cabbage pie, they did well to try it to advertise gloriously. The blender chop, slice, puree and create a light and airy quiche filling that rivals ANYONE in the world. The digital readout, buttons and display are intuitive and easy to use and read. I played around a bit with the very sturdy and comfortable lid, both on and off. The blender jar (unlike my Cuisinart 9-cup plastic…

Should have bought this a few years ago

This blender is expensive. That's why most of us stay away. I assume it's just a blender? Not correct. The thing is worth its weight in gold. I'll SAVE SO MUCH MONEY that I spent at my neighborhood coffee shops and juice shops and it makes the drinks you make taste even BETTER. This thing can make a silky smooth one-serving fruit and ice cream smoothie in 5 seconds. The only reason I'm taking it longer is because I still don't believe it. I'll never get over it. Pray for me. I made a daiquiri…

Terrible quality control

Update 3/4/18: We received the 4th mixer, there are still imperfections on the side of the mixer base and some roughness on the black cover. The jug is in good condition. We have used this blender and it works well for making smoothies and soups. The cleanup feature works better than anything I've had before. I still stand by my one star rating as previous blenders have never had to leave the manufacturer. First review: I was so excited to get this blender. I did a lot of research before…
