This thing mixes like no other - a real mix demon. The annoying thing is that when you plug it in and turn it on (or if it was already plugged in and turned on and went to sleep) it has a "splash screen" that lasts "forever" (read: 5 seconds?)"Hello" in the wonderful world of Cuisinart. Update 3/4/18: We received the 4th mixer, there are still imperfections on the side of the mixer base and some roughness on the black cover. The jug is in good condition. We have used this blender and it works well for making smoothies and soups. The cleanup feature works better than anything I've had before.
