Description of 🧀 Enhanced Grating Precision with Cuisipro Surface Glide Technology 4-Sided Boxed Grater

Cook's Illustrated Recommended!. Features exclusive Surface Glide Technology: a grooved grating surface that allows you to grate more with less effort. Grooves reduce resistance, making it easier to grate food. Grooves also elongate the length of each individual blade; more food is grated with each stroke. Non-slip handle and base provide stability; grater can easily handle large quantities of food. Bonus ginger grater base shreds fresh ginger root while leaving unwanted fibers behind. Fine for citrus zest and parmesan, coarse for cheeses and vegetables, ultra-coarse for soft cheeses, and slicer for a variety of vegetables. Non-slip handle and removable base for added stability. Stainless steel blade, hand washing preferred

Is it weird to love a grater even if it's $30?

I confess that the grater I replaced is about 40 years old and had some problems with it. 1. The handle was bent and uncomfortable. 2. Cutting carrots has become boring, I think - aren't you getting bored after 40 years of cutting carrots? 3. A different style of cutting is used on finer grated surfaces, cutting more than necessary. So if you grate the zest of a lemon or lime, for example, you have to be careful not to get too much stone. But with this little beauty, carrots are simply grated…

Pros
  • Non-slip handle and base ensure stability; The grater easily processes a large number of products.
Cons
  • weak

want spicy best in graters, peelers and slicers

This cheese grater means business. want spicy Cuisipro gives you the spice. I needed something that doesn't have a dull rubber foot on the bottom that just catches old cheese and rust on the bottom. Found this gem and decided to buy a $25 cheese grater. I pray it doesn't rust. It is very high quality. I used it for the first time tonight and it grates so fast you really need to learn how to grate cheese again. I had already slightly cut off the knuckle of my thumb and it was a clean little…

A bit dangerous, small and difficult to clean.

I have mixed feelings about this grater. It does the job. I wasn't sure what to do with all the comments saying he's so perceptive, but now I get it! We use a cut resistant glove after the first use and the need for a couple of band aids. It's really unusually spicy. This is probably my fourth grater and I haven't lost meat on any of the others. So it's a change, but constantly rinsing the cheese out of the glove is cumbersome, and the super-sharp grater makes the grater difficult to clean. He…

Box Grater, improved and updated

Preview: My wife and I are spending a lot more time cooking these days since restaurants are out of the question during quarantine, so we're upgrading our kitchen supplies. We had a very good, highly rated grater from Cuisinart. You can still find it here. But we don't like it, and this one was so well reviewed - across Revain and beyond - that we bought it. My wife used it once and loved it so we don't have much experience with it yet. But after unboxing and one-time use, this model replaces…

Pros
  • The ridges also increase the length of each individual blade; More food is grated with each stroke
Cons
  • Weight

This item does what it's supposed to do. It appears to be of durable material and construction. The price is good. However. I don't know about you, but I firmly believe in the quality of the end product: grated cheese. That's all I really bought it for (it had the highest rating on The Wirecutter). I grew up in an Italian family and I have certain demands when it comes to the kitchen. With Parmajana and Romano I want grated cheese. It's not "stressful". The cut surfaces are microplanes rather…

Pros
  • Non-slip handle and removable base for added stability
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I bought this grater because my roommate has it and he loves the quality. One of the biggest pluses for me is that the micro glider is present on the grater. With this grater, you don't need to buy an extra micro glider! Also, these blades are *incredibly* sharp and have been for over a year, just like my roommate's. When I got mine, the blades were so sharp I didn't even have to strain to grate whatever I was working with. That, and it has withstood both heavy use and regular cleaning in the…

Day and night difference to my old grater!

I've always hated using a grater. I've used my mom's old stainless steel grater for decades and it never occurred to me that box graters could get better over the years. Grating any of mine always seemed to take forever, and when using shallow grating holes, trying to get a carrot (or whatever) that stubbornly stuck was a frustrating proposition. Very often I had cuts and scrapes on my fingertips or knuckles. On the other hand, it always seemed more of a hassle than using and cleaning a food…
