RELIABLE STRENGTH. This trailer hitch ball is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight. It is constructed from hot-forged steel for reliable towing strength and confidence on the road ahead. PRECISE FIT. This tow hitch ball has a 2-inch diameter to fit virtually any 2-inch coupler. The ball shank has a 3/4-inch diameter and measures 1-3/4 inches long for secure attachment to a trailer hitch ball mount. CORROSION-RESISTANT. For long-lasting resistance to rain, dirt and rust, this hitch ball is finished in a durable, protective chrome plating. SECURE INSTALL. For dependable strength, this trailer hitch ball comes with a zinc-plated hex nut and helical lock washer. It also has fine threads for an enhanced hold on the ball hitch (160 lb.-ft. torque required). TESTED FOR SAFETY. best value does the job.

Inexpensive and serves its purpose. If you want the chrome finish to look good, oil the ball before hitching the trailer. Otherwise buy a stainless steel ball for four times the price.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

Good chrome hitch ball

This was just what I needed for my tractor. I wanted to use a tractor to pull my small cargo trailer. 3/4 diameter screw is good for tractor. I would use this on my truck without a second thought. Appears to be a good quality item.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

A good product. No questions!

I bought this for my hitch that I have installed on a John Deere lawnmower. It works as expected. no questions. It will last forever so I don't think I'll buy it again. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to move lawn mower trailers.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No instructions

Looks great and the price is very good!

This is a good hitch ball with a 3/4" shank. You can't beat the price! Most lawn mower hitch plates require a pair of washers to prevent the nut from getting on the unthreaded part of the shaft.Looks great and has two flats on the bottom of the ball that allow you to hold it to tighten.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Useless Features

It shines and fits.

CURT 40003 chrome towball matches my Curt hitch mount perfectly. It must be tightened to 160 ft-lbs. To tighten it that tight, I tucked it sideways into the mount and placed my large crescent wrench on the face of the ball, making sure the end of the wrench touched the ground so I didn't have to hold it. I then proceeded to tighten the nut to 160 foot pounds.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some trouble

Perfect and at a good price!

Looks good, the price is the same, also I couldn't find it anywhere, I looked in local stores. I have a dolly in a back cover but if I want to use the dolly it has to be carried forward. The cart weighs over 600 pounds and just wasn't ideal to pull by hand, nor was it ideal to have help every time. So I built a lawnmower mount and mounted this CURT 40003 ball on top of it. The CURT 40003 2" ball with 3/4" shank was just perfect.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Chrome plating seems only a few atoms thick. It's pathetic and wore out after a 10 mile tow of a 500 pound trailer. UPDATE: The chrome is still wearing away - through the copper in some places. These are not quality balls. And I don't even expose them to salt water! Imagine how bad the corrosion would be in a real marine environment. I would regret buying it if it weren't so cheap. Maybe I'll regret it later when I have to cut it off my clutch with a grinding wheel.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Cheap and works best with outdoor accessories

Oh awesome! Despite the dull appearance in the Revain image, this trailer ball is truly shiny chrome. This is a trailer ball. You bolt it to the drawbar with pipe wrenches and a large crescent wrench, and then connect your trailer. If you bought the right ball (right size shaft and ball) it's pretty hard to ruin. Being new to the whole trailer scene, I'm a bit concerned that someone might take the ball off my trailer by the hook. in front of me screw my own drawbar and drive away with my…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
