Good product best wiring

I bought this because it was cheaper than the model for my year but I just cut the plugs and plugged straight into my car and never had any wires coming from outside the car came.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Packaging ugly

Easy to install in 2011 Edge.

Installation was easy. I plugged the power cord into a 12v outlet. I know it's not recommended, but it has a 20A fuse, so I think it will be fine. Much easier than pulling a cable to the battery!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never

It is best not to hack into existing cables.

Enables quick installation of trailer lighting without dismantling the standard wiring. Instead of running the cable all the way to the battery, I installed a cigarette lighter adapter and plugged it into the rear cigarette lighter socket.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So-so

Perfect fit and easy to install!

This is a great product and very easy to install. Just follow the included instructions and you'll be up and running in no time. Installation took about an hour, but I also took the time to hide the wire as best I could. Watch some of the available YouTube installation videos to get an idea of the different installation options. Perfect fit for my 2012 Ford Edge.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poor design

Easy installation, just follow the instructions they give you.

Easy installation, follow the instructions you were given, no problem. They give you tons of wires and you never have to worry about them being short. This will be the third T-connector I've installed and it always annoys me that vehicle specific kits are so expensive until I actually fit them and realize how nice it is to just hook them up to the factory wiring harnesses.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Don't remember

No additional wiring required.

I installed this on a 2013 Lincoln MKX and the instructions were missing the correct information. I had to cut and splice the green wire on the right because there wasn't enough room to route it through the channel on the right. I left enough room on the cable to connect it under the trunk lid. Also, on the Lincoln, he had an outlet near the truck with a 20 amp fuse. I bought a splitter and connected it to 10 amps. This eliminates the need to run a cable to the battery.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy installation - wiring

2011 Edge limited. Very easy installation, except for the subwoofer enclosure on the inside rear panel on the passenger side. Like many others, just cut this wire, run it down and down, then reconnect with a wire nut. I didn't power the battery either. I hooked it up to a 12 volt power supply (cigarette lighter adapter) located on the driver's side interior trim at the rear of the cargo area, which saved a lot of time. Got the fuse box fitted as pictured and the trailer lights don't use much…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great product: exterior accessories

I ordered this product for my 2013 Ford Edge SEL. I used Amazon Prime, the item arrived the next day with everything in the box. The installation instructions provided were good, but I also used a YouTube video on installing a similar product to help,[.] I didn't have to remove any rear quarter panels to install them, which was good because my Edge has an electric motor for the tailgate. and a lever on the rear wall on the driver's side. Installing all the connectors in the rear of the car took

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
