POS Do not buy. Features

F350 is in regular use so hasn't been removed for a year. I had to use a liquid wrench and a heavy mallet to knock it out. the retaining balls are rusted and frozen. If you have them, this is a product that needs monthly removal and heavy lubrication, especially in a humid environment. The forged chain holders are excellent by the way.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some small things

Ordered this with Andersen Ultimate Hitch for my Nissan Titan XD. Attaches to a gooseneck on the receiver and fits snugly but with a little play up and down. So I hand cut the washer to take up the slack and now it fits like a glove! I think the small gap is designed to allow for tolerances in mated goosenecks as they fit different brands of trucks.

Works on a 2018 Silverado 2500 with OEM factory discs

I would say this product works as advertised. I've seen several reviews of the ball dangling slightly in bed, I have to agree. I've noticed that it moves a bit when starting and stopping when towing my 10km trailer. The loops on the safety chain hooks are slightly thicker for the chains used in my application. The chains will still engage, but they must be at the correct angle for the latch to close on the safety chains.

Amazing quality! on trailer accessories

The hitch kit arrived as promised and the quality is impressive. When I bought my truck I had no idea it came with a gooseneck hitch system but no ball or mounts. The Curt system with the included case is fantastic quality and extremely easy to install. My old gooseneck had a detachable ball that plugged into a receiver in bed. Not only was the bullet stuck in the receiver, but the trigger handle in the wheel well was jammed and would not release the bullet. Problem solved with this system. I…

Storage box broken and does not fit the holes

When opening the packaging the storage box containing the product used for storage when not in use was broken. It turned out that one end had fallen off. The packaging is heavy, it is possible to replace the box without content. I'll try to attach a picture, I had a problem getting my cat out of the picture. The washers don't work, they don't rotate after being inserted into the holes. The metal had to be removed from either the truck body or the washers to fit. I would like this system to be…

Spring. I do not know. Read.

Okay first off it fits my 2017 F350 Lariat SRW Super Duty perfectly. I've done my due diligence and always lubricated all the components that go into each socket so they never stick (get stuck) in the socket. That's what they said after the very first use of a 4 Star 32' three-horse trailer. This destroyed the chrome coating of the ball! It was like it was flaking off in extremely hard, sharp flakes. See, this does not affect the performance of the product, everything will be fine. However, I'm

Works fine until you try to remove the ball!

I tow 2-3 times a week for about 15,000. I've had this product for about 6 months and love how it works when towing. The problem is that I can't figure it out, the retaining balls seem to be stuck. The good thing about buying from Ford is that it would be their problem, not mine. I am contacting the manufacturer today and will adjust my rating based on their response. This is my only complaint, but it's pretty serious folks. After contacting Kurt we were unable to fix the ball I have and I had…

Please read and save money

I bought this 10 months ago and used it several times on a 15k load gooseneck. It was always taken out and kept. I left it installed for 4 months and it was rusty enough to break the latch. The material of the retaining balls was such that the rusty parts would fall off. It took 2 days to soak it in penetrating oil, then dig it out with a mini excavator, break it with a hammer and hold the broken tab in the right position to loosen it. I have had gooseneck adapters for 15 years and many brands.
