Works well good for Can Crushers

First I will say the first one I received was dented and needed preservation. The second works fine. This uses a significant amount of air at a pressure of maybe 100psi. I use a tiny compressor and get maybe 6 clicks before my compressor reloads. You need a fairly large compressor if you intend to use it at high speed. Looks pretty solid, should last a few years.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Not bad

Love this item at Specialty Tools & Gadgets

Got this for Christmas 2020 it's amazing. I run it off a 150psi pancake compressor with 90psi output, works great. You really have to assemble it and weigh it down, but it's not that bad, just follow the instructions and when you hear leaks, pull on the pressure hoses and the coupler will snap onto the pipe. NOTE: The piston has a force of 617 pounds at 90 psi.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Available in black only

It's a beast!

This crusher is amazing! I rebuilt it, drilled a small hole in the front and installed an exhaust hose to push the bottle out when the piston moves up. This allowed me to mount it vertically and put a basket underneath to collect the cans. I've seen others install exhaust hose fittings to connect to the front, but I just drilled a hole slightly smaller than the hose and pushed the hose in, which worked great!

Seeing is believing!

I really wanted to pick up this puppy. Which was very easy if you are willing to read the instructions. Works like clockwork. Just push the button and you have the thinnest aluminum can known to man. Since we grind tons of these cans, my only question is how long will they last? Judging by the appearance, heavy materials have been used for a long time. This part should be the best part of the recycling process. Great job in turning UCR into a useful product. Thanks JRD

It can destroy rocks!

Santa brought this for our eight year old son who is a garbage and recycling addict. You need to assemble it, which took about 30 minutes. You will need a set of wrenches and a screwdriver. Instructions included. Once assembled, attach an air line to it, set the pressure between 90-100psi and mash! We crushed a few cans with it and it pretty much flattened them. I'm going to attach this to the wall in the garage so when the cans get crushed they fall into the bin. Come and buy, you will like…

Assembly in progress

Packaging well done. When assembling the breaker I found that there is no diagram on the valve so the piping has to be done after the correct fittings are purchased to connect to my air compressor. I also found that the stroke of the cylinder exceeds the capacity of the breaker, thus precluding the use of built-in pads on the cylinder. I would recommend using round flow regulators for bottle connections. It also does not come with the recommended pressure setting or check valve. I recommend…
