Works but plastic cover is useless

Works great on 2020 Ford Super Duty F250 with 2.5" hitch. The hardware is solid, but the plastic coating on the U-bolt is unusable. It broke after one use.

Works well, U-rail needs better coating

Solid construction seems to hold up. The U-shape's plastic coating comes off when tightened, trapping water and causing rust. Another type of cover would be better.

Works perfectly! in Towbar Accessories

I've been hearing this rattle and rumble for years and thought it didn't sound good. It always holds up well, but that block makes it strong and takes it all away. Great product and so easy to apply. It also prevents your receiver from being jerked out when the pin is pulled.

Stopped swinging exterior accessories

I have a Jeep Wrangler. Had to buy a hitch extension so my bike rack could fit with the spare tire. This stopped all fluctuations, mostly from Philadelphia to Acadia and most of the way back (16 hours total). It came loose after about 3 hours of rest which meant the bike rack wobbled a bit but not catastrophically. Now I know that on long trips you have to keep a wrench in the trunk.

Spare parts are of high quality, but they did not save the trunk from sagging!

Quality parts were used in the manufacture of this product. However, there is another design that I think works better. I tried using this with a hitch extender and a 500lb load carrier loaded with 6 x 50lb bags of deer corn (300lbs total) and it didn't hold things tight or sag. In my opinion plated clutch forks work better.

Holds the clutch securely with clutch locks

This is an excellent product that holds the clutch securely. Each side has 2 nuts for extra security. I gave it a 4/5 because of the tensioner's misinformation. The metal of the U-bolt is 7/16" in diameter, not 8/16" (1/2"). I assume they counted the rubber cover as part of the diameter. .The nut is not 15/16” or even 14/16” (7/8”). I'm assuming it really is 22mm, but I don't have a 22mm wrench to check.

A must for ALL who tow

Tow stability was a noticeable difference and I don't know why it took so long to use. I have a 2.5" hitch and use a 2" adapter so I didn't have to replace my entire hitch with a larger truck. This hitch clamp works great and causes no towing problems. the gum is a bit pointless as it tears off but until then i would recommend this product

Make sure the part fits before the return window closes.

Please make sure you have enough space above and below the hitch pocket before purchasing. Mine was also received with no hardware to install. Not that it helps as there isn't room for it between the bumper and hitch on my car. An alternative is to turn it upside down, but you will need space between the hitch pickup tube and the safety chain. It should be big enough to fit a locking device in between. Again not on my truck.
