Great little 2.4GHz router. 5GHz is not that much. I can only use the upper band for things that are in the same room as the router, like my TV, Alexa, etc. It doesn't work in the back of my house (it's only 1044 square feet). I bought a Dlink Dir 842 AC1200 in September 2017 to replace my old Dlink DIR 655. I'm currently having terrible connection problems. I just bought this to replace my router which I bought 3 years ago. This thing made a HUGE difference in the reliability of our housewide Wi-Fi connections. We have 4 computers (one is used for gaming), satellite tv, tablet, printer and 4 mobile phones using wi-fi at all times.
