This is for the 12v version

This is for the 12v version Works well, good components. No whining. Low noise, connected to amplifier. Care must be taken when connecting wires, hot and neutral for AC. This device measures 2 x 4 x 1.25 inches.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Can hurt

Seems to work well for computer components

Like others only 4 stars due to ZERO documentation. All you need to know is that the AC is connected to the spring terminals on the GREEN terminals and then your DC is connected to the blue screw terminals. I've only been running it for a few hours in my project - it works fine.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • No insurance

Brilliant! Computer Components

goes perfectly with my 24V 3A micro drill! It's a pulse start, so sometimes it has to build up charge on its capacitors to start my motor. Takes a few seconds, but reliable!

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Great little device for the price but misleading power rating.

This little power supply is pretty decent although as mentioned in previous reviews the product description is really misleading. I use it in combination with a boost converter to make my own little DC power supply, but I can boost it to around 80 watts at around 40 volts and 2 amps. If these values are exceeded, it starts to flicker and no longer provides sufficient power. This equates to approximately 3.33 amps at 24 volts, or 80 watts from the power supply, since 80 watts = 24 volts * 3.33…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Good PSU but misleading name

The name indicates that it is a 6 amp power supply. However, this is an exaggeration. This is a 4 amp power supply capable of supplying 6 amps in the event of a momentary overload. In the photo you can see that it is marked DCV24-4. 4 - current rating. The 6A version of this power supply is DCV24-6 and the 9A version is DCV24-9. In practice, this means that the power supply will support devices that draw DC current up to 4 amps. That means about 96 watts (P=EI according to Ohm's law: 24 x 4 =…

  • Absolutely amazing!

The board looks pretty basic

The components are well assembled and look nice. The reason I gave this two stars is because there are no instructions on how to use it. I've searched the internet to find out how to set it up but haven't found anything. The board looks pretty straight forward, plug in AC on one end and DC on the other. Also, it didn't work when I did it. I'm wondering if I did it wrong or if the item was broken. Who knows? I have nothing to reference to confirm the answer. I would call the company but this is…

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Too long to wait
