Description of 🧦 Durable & Comfy (1987) Women's Lightweight Cushioned 1/4 Hiking & Trekking Sock by Darn Tough

Style #1987. A new addition to the Light Hiker collection is the 1/4 Sock. Modest enough for a Victorian aristocrat, and equally familiar with expansive views, these ankle-covering socks offer a smooth cuff, comfortable fit, and lightweight functionality that truly endures. Cushion extending up the Achilles adds targeted comfort and enhances the durability we guarantee for life. Machine Wash. Lightweight with Cushion - Light and strong with a thin layer of cushioning along base of foot. Our most versatile construction. True Seamless technology allows for an undetectable seam fusion for an ultra-smooth, invisible feel. 1/4 Sock Height - Sits just above the ankle. The “just right” height that’s fast and light. Great for low-cut hikers and running shoes. Composition - Knit with 52% Nylon 44% Merino Wool 4% Lycra Spandex. The fast action wicking pulls moisture away from skin, so no more sweaty, stinky socks. The soft, breathable merino wool has fast drying, all weather performance that keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Guaranteed for Life - If these socks wear, tear, or develop holes, Darn Tough will replace them. No strings. No conditions. Made in the USA - Every pair of socks is knit in Northfield, Vermont - the perfect testing ground for the finest premium all weather performance socks.

These socks are amazing!

Strong as hell socks are great socks and come with a lifetime guarantee. If they wear out over time, send them back to Darn Tough for a brand new pair! So yes, they are worth their price!

Soft and comfortable

This is the second time I order these socks. They are perfect for my 8 inch foot. These are thick socks, but not too thick. You are not skinny.

Pros
  • Activewear
Cons
  • No performance

Love the color and the feel

My feet usually sweat in the heat and get cold at night. I put them on for the first time today in 80 degree weather and in the evening when the temperature dropped and they felt great! I want to test them in even more extreme weather conditions to see how they hold up. Lifetime Guarantee! Can't beat it!

Pros
  • Ladies
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

Darn Tuf are the best!

Darn Sturdy socks are great. They fit perfectly, they are exceptionally durable: no toe holes! Also, there are no seams on the toes to avoid chafing. Oddly, unlike my Micro Crew Hikers, they feel "slippery" on my feet and in the synthetic material shoes. I checked and found that they contain more nylon (42%) compared to 39% in the mid-weight Micro Crew shoes I love and own. It's something I'm not crazy about, but it's not a deal breaker, I'll keep it but won't buy that particular version again.
