Description of 🧡 Low Shank Ruler Foot with Free Motion Darning and 1/4 Inch Round Open Toe Quilting Ruler Foot for Singer, Janome, Viking, Brother, and Kenmore Low Shank Sewing Machines

Ruler Foot Low Shank: Quilt beautiful designs using rulers and acrylic templates with the Open Toe Ruler Foot. This 1/2” wide foot is designed to give you a 1/4” radius from the needle and the 3/16” height of the foot allows for stability when using low shank style rulers. Quilting Ruler Foot Low Shank: Attach the foot to the machine and adjust the height so when the foot is in the down position it skims lightly over the surface of quilt. Sewing Machine low Foot: This thinner, open toe foot gives you full visibility of the needle. It's great for applique, thread painting, and artistic quilting where precision is paramount. Low Shank Machine Foot: The ruler quilting foot is made of sturdy metal and is designed with cutouts on the front and left sides for comfortable viewing of the needle area. Note: Low shank machines have less clearance behind the foot and under the presser foot bar - Low Shank Rulers are 3mm and the thinnest rulers to work with the Low Shank Foot (LS) and Medium Shank Foot (MS)

For Bernina machines, not universal

was described as being fitted to all low shank sewing machines. I put it on my Kenmore and Husqvarna. Wouldn't stop in any car. The leaflet said it was made specifically for Bernina machines. Back to Revain.

Pros
  • Low Shaft Quilting Foot: Attach the foot to the machine and adjust the height so that when in the down position it slides easily over the surface of the quilt.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

What I was looking for

I've wanted to use FMQ rulers for a long time but my FMQ presser foot wasn't designed for it. This will definitely work for my purposes. The only downside is that the needle isn't exactly in the middle of the foot - I can move the needle to the left to compensate, but I don't have to.

Pros
  • Low Sewing Machine Foot: This thinner, open toe sewing foot gives you a full view of the needle. It is excellent for appliquΓ©, thread painting and artistic quilting where precision is key.
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well but height cannot be adjusted

The closed top of the foot didn't allow full height adjustment on my low Singer stem so I bought another foot with a shorter open top over the steerer bolt which allowed the foot to be fully adjusted. at the top of the shaft. Maybe a design of my (cheap old) Singer. The shank is thickened too close above the mounting screw.

Pros
  • Low Shank Quilting Foot: The ruler quilting foot is made of durable metal and has cut outs on the front and left side for a good view of the needle area.
Cons
  • I'll add later
