Used in my LS3 swap (I used LS1 PCM and harness so I had to use a 1 wire alternator) with no problems. Be sure to charge the battery before installation. The quality is several times lower than other brands.

It was the right part, arrived on time, fits perfectly. Worked fine for 15 months but then died. My Trans Am isn't made for everyday use either, so while it lasted 15 months, it only did about 5,000 miles. The warranty has expired, can you still change it? I'll update when they do. The product works. This is NOT quality. Compared to oem old. Feels like a toy. Spend more on a good one if you can. Of course I wish I understood how painful it is to install them on these ls1. It looked, felt and weighed the same as the previous alternator that was bought at the local auto parts store for a fraction of the price. I bought this supposedly 'new' alternator to replace the original alternator which worked but the bearings started to squeak. The same started a few months after installation. Bearings must be installed to precise specifications on new equipment to ensure squeak-free operation. Obviously they weren't built that way. Will be replaced again with the original new alternator.
