The first only lasted 6 weeks

I bought this generator and it broke after 6 weeks. Revain replaced it for me. A year and a half later the second died. I called the company, unfortunately the warranty had expired and they did nothing. I believe the generator should last longer than this one, I will not buy another from this company.

Three years old and works great.

It's hard to believe that a truly new (not reconditioned) generator set can be sold at this price without being scrap. I installed it after watching youtube videos (there are several) on my 2001 F-150 XLT Sport/5.4L. I also bought a pry bar tool to help with the installation. Three years later it was running smoothly, I couldn't be happier.

Cheap Chinese bearings

When this rear bearing failed the alternator seized and the belt started to smoke. This alternator has cheap Chinese bearings. So what is the value of this alternator if it leaves you on the side of the road and I now have to replace it again, plus a new serpentine belt. I will replace it with Motorcraft. I've learned my lesson.

It seems that if the item is defective, Amizon or MFG.

Alternator received, installed, driven approx 40 miles and battery dead. Charged to get home and discharged the battery again. Took a new alternator to Advanced Auto to test and it failed. It cost me 18.00 from UPS to return the generator. It looks like Amizon or MFG should cover the cost if the item is defective.

Seems to be working after a 3400 mile ride.

I had to replace my alternator at the last minute before a trip. There wasn't much money in the budget so I went for the cheapest option. It turned out to be a $70 Revain special. Received the generator incredibly quickly, installed it in 20 minutes and drove a truck the 3,400 miles from Colorado to Banff/Yoho National Parks and back. I'm still working hard and I couldn't be happier. The only thing is to blame for not buying from my local dealership as I'm sure Amazon ruins all smallโ€ฆ

Loud fan but works well.

Others have complained that the bearings in this alternator are noisy and wear out quickly. Well, they should have taken a closer look at what's making the noise. The bearings are fine. The noise is due to the design of the generator's internal fan. I can only assume the fan is an upgraded design that allows more air to flow through the diodes to provide better cooling than the OEM design. It's loud at first, but I don't really notice it anymore. Through a lot of reading I found out that theโ€ฆ

Good product - good price - arrived on time!

This alternator arrived on time and was relatively easy to replace with the old one in my Ford Econoline van. Everything works great and I saved about $75 at a local parts store near me (I was able to wait a few days, no issues, unlike other items I need today). This is a new part, not a rebuild, and it looks like new. I have a couple of batteries in my van) and everything is working fine and seems to be working even better (probably more voltage on the coils in my Super Duty V-10 motor?) Let's
