Before installing it didn't work.

One of the screws on the back is sticking out and touching the frame. I've tried screwing it in flush but it doesn't work. I will not install it

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Must have for old Ford cars and tractors

Life saver. My dad has a '41 Ford 9N and this part broke. I've searched all over the internet and local tractor shops and couldn't find one. I was about to give up and build something that could work together until I found this. I ordered two!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fits perfectly! best in parts

New ignition coil resistor assembly perfect for my 1948 8N! The holes lined up perfectly so after reading the comments that the new screws didn't work I just used my old ones. When I checked the spark on each candle, it was much stronger. Can't wait until the restoration is complete to hear how it works.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are new competitors

This worked great for my 1948 Ford 8-N

This worked great for my 1948 Ford 8-N EXCEPT the 2 mounting bolts that came with the kit were the wrong thread size so that I was fortunately able to use my old ones. Also, the "ears" on my old wires had to be drilled out because the connector studs were too large in diameter, so the 10 minute job took much longer.

Pros
  • . Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Frequency

Great item at a great price!

This is a great product replacement. The only complaint I might have is that the location of the mounting holes is off by about 0.020-0.030" so the screws don't fit perfectly. This is something we need to work on and a general knowledge of the details can be expected, so this misalignment is not an issue.

Pros
  • Very Fast Delivery
Cons
  • Crumpled

Wrong size hardware included

Mounting screws were too small and even started to screw into the bracket on the tractor. Luckily I kept the original screws and after cleaning them up a bit I found that the recessed holes are smaller too! I used a power drill and drill press to get them to size otherwise the screws won't get more than halfway through the threads. Once that was done, it was installed correctly and securely. I think only time will tell if this Chinese junk will last or not. But I know. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Works great, used with 8n front mount and similar tractors

Works great, good value for money. If you have a 12 volt converter on the front panel, you will need this factory resistor for the 12 volt coil (if you are using a 12 volt coil on the front panel). If you are using the original 6 volt coil you will need this resistor plus the ceramic resistor which should have come with the kit. As far as I know this is a 2 ohm resistor. If you suspect your factory resistor bank is defective, use an ohmmeter to measure between the top two screw terminals; it…

Pros
  • Ideal for small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
