Happy buyer. in Starter

It took the average guy about 2 hours to install this starter after removing many hours. You need very good light to see where the top point is. After installation the car started like new. You may need a wizard to make the installation easier and faster. This is a good buy and I recommend it.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Communication with Seller

Can't beat the price.

Car starts like new again. For those who want to replace the starter themselves, remove the axle. Find a way to remove the axle and do it. Believe me. Took the old 4 hours out. For the installation of a new one I did not want to break joints again and removed the axle. I wish I had done that from the start. Honda can suck if they place the starter in this spot.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Secret

Works better than expected but comes in refurbished packaging.

My car definitely starts a lot faster now. It clearly doesn't look like the original Honda, I'd honestly say it's better. I'm only deducting one star because the ad says it's new, but when I got my box it said it was refurbished. It comes with a document relating to its exam to show it passed. Even if it's a reman it's spotlessly clean, it would be hard to say it's anything but new.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Boring package

Excellent starter: starter and spare parts

Works beautifully. Came with charts to show it was Quality Assurance (QA) tested. My Civic now starts as soon as I turn the key. Faster than a standard starter has ever done. For years there was a 2 second wait for it to turn on and then a knocking noise shortly after starting which is BAD and should be replaced ASAP. So I grabbed this bad boy, which is also noticeably heavier than the series starter. Maybe it's just a casting but I bet it's a bigger better engine how well it runs compared to…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

So far it's working like a charm.

Works like clockwork so far. I'm a pretty capable person when it comes to fixing anything and this job took a little longer than I thought it would (about 5 hours). I used a combination of Youtube videos to get the job done. The main thing is to remove the passenger wheel and work under the car. I turned off the starter on a 2009 Honda Civic for my daughter. The part is well made and works great so far (about 2 months). The car starts insanely fast and doesn't make any weird noises when pulling

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Not sure

It's fine - works most of the time

Removing the old starter without a lift or removing the axle took a long time but installing the starter didn't take too long. The documentation for the launcher states that the launcher has been redesigned, so I think the product page has been updated to reflect that point; I believe the product page said the starter was new when I bought it. The starter starts the car on the first try about 90% of the time; It sounds like a machine gun firing multiple shots, so I don't think it's right, and…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Little repairability

The hardest job I've ever done

My 2006 Honda Civic had trouble starting for about a year. It would sound weak and sometimes require a jump. One fine day everything ended, nothing began anymore. All other factors such as battery or alternator are excluded. I'm pretty handy and have access to tools and such. I did some research on how to replace this part. I used 3 different YouTube videos. I won't lie, this was the hardest work/task I've ever done. The starter is in a terrible place. I removed the wheel on the passenger side.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are downsides
