Use cooking spray or something!

Received intact. The manufacturer's instructions say to drizzle with vegetable oil before first use and DO NOT use cooking spray. Not correct! Following the instructions and the first waffles were a disaster. We had to scrape the pans. Started with cooking spray and the waffles have been perfect ever since.

Pros
  • Finished
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Little Champion Waffle Maker

I have this little one and it's very good, Expensive from William Sanoma. Maybe I'm not enough of a waffle/utensil snob, but I literally don't notice the difference in quality. I love this waffle maker and reach for it every time! Perfect, round, soft but crispy waffles that are never raw, never burn, always ready quickly and just right.

Pros
  • Finally Bought
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

A regular device with no frills

Makes tasty waffles. You absolutely MUST spray nonstick, although some data says you shouldn't. In addition, if liquid is spilled on the front lower handle, it is almost impossible to clean it properly. The baking process is very good. I didn't notice any larger hotspots. If you're just looking for a basic Sunday morning waffle maker, this will do.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

I was pleasantly surprised - for such a low price it does a great job

I was pleasantly surprised - for such a low price it does a great job. It's not automatic (i.e. set your own timer for 3-4 minutes and take it out). I seasoned it as described in the booklet and didn't have to do anything else. A simple (light) wipe down with a paper towel when you're done and it's ready for next time. Have had waffles 4 times - some for breakfast and once with fresh strawberries and a steep whisk. Delicious.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • A number of factors

inconsistent results

I've used it twice so far. It worked fine the first time. It's very easy to use. Turn it on, wait for the light to go out, pour in 2/3 cup batter, wait 2-3 minutes. We've experimented with the duration and found it takes 3 to 3 1/2 minutes. We used it again the next day and unfortunately it didn't get hot enough. No matter how long we left the waffles in, only the base baked well. The top was spongy and less finished. It still worked enough to eat them, but it was disappointing. But I will try…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I think I paid about $23 for it which I thought was a reasonable price. I've made several batches of waffles so far and they all turned out great. The instructions say it takes about 2-3 minutes to make finished waffles, but I found I had to let them sit for about 8-10 minutes to get a good look and they were still pretty in the middle soft. Love the slim design, it fits easily in a storage closet when done. My only downside is that since the moisture in the dough needs to come out during…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Long wait
