Shoes fit well and firmly. It was waterproof enough to keep his feet dry when walking across tall, wet grass and swampy areas. He sprained his ankle once and barely missed a step and said his boot made his foot feel good! He's nine years old and may have had some discomfort during our night hike, but his boots weren't one of them.

My son is about 4.5-5 so I ordered 5 and he just swims in them. I'm keeping them because I think he'll grow up in them, but in the meantime I've had to run to the mall to buy size 5 Nikes, which fit perfectly. Hopefully they're just big overall and not just oddly wide. I've never had a problem fitting shoes, but I tend to buy more familiar names.

Loved the value of this backpacker. They are comfortable to wear, offer excellent stability when hiking and a good outsole. Better than some of the more expensive brands!

They are huge. I am a women's size 8 and ordered a large child's size 5 for my son. They looked very large so I tried them on for fun. My foot is dangling in the boot! I didn't realize they were the wrong size until my son opened them up and wore them all day so I won't be returning them. Doesn't look bad, good material. But no one but a moose can wear them and feel comfortable. They must be mislabeled.

My son wears a 6. It was right on the bottom of the shoe. I had to go back to 6.5. A 1/2 size up leaves room for growth this summer. If you're on the edge, increase the size by 1/2.

I bought them for my son to go camping with us. We went through snow, clay and mud and they held up great. No water got in, so his feet stayed dry. It slides easily on slippery surfaces. Great shoes for hiking.

So I bought them for $12, the pair I bought had a small defect in the rubber sole. So I got them used for 12. Best buy for $12. They are a bit heavy but I like that they are good quality hiking shoes.

Comparable to Walmart shoes, they look good but are not durable. Bought two sets for my son less than a month ago, very disappointed with the lack of quality. I had to use shoe slime to make the soles stick to the tread. Children were easy with them and they are no longer good at all. We'll look elsewhere, save your money and buy elsewhere.

No worries. The boots were worn on a half hour hike in dry weather and when the foot was removed the lining came out. Hiking or non-hiking shoes should be worn for more than half an hour of hiking.

My son needed waterproof shoes for his upcoming vacation. Found them last minute and they were perfect. My son said they are very comfortable.

My 11 year old son is an avid hiker and was very happy with these boots. He loved his last pair that he outgrew so we decided to take a chance and buy these. He is very satisfied and thinks they fit well and are very comfortable.

I'm a women's size 8. These fit perfectly. Happy to have found her. I work outside and women's work boots are so expensive! I realized that I can buy shoes for a boy cheaper! They are super comfy. And I don't slip when walking on wet surfaces

My daughter loves this. It gives her a lot of confidence to take me and my wife for a walk in the desert to take our dogs. It also has a durable material on the bottom so no stickers or cacti get through as our daughter likes to take risks with dogs.

We love her! We bought these for one of our kids just to try. My kid was so happy with his boots, they are comfortable and waterproof. We just ordered 2 more pairs.

I loved everything about this shoe when it arrived. Material. Look. plush and comfy. My son felt like swamp boy boots. Very tough and manly. I almost wrote a 5 star review. And then, with normal use, the hook for the laces broke. It looks like the hooks are plastic and painted to look like brass. Eh... if this thing was metal I would buy it again and again until my son's foot stopped growing.

I bought the same pair in multiple sizes for 2 boys. Ages 4 to 8. These are good shoes WITH the following limitations: 1. They are strong BUT they break down over time. This means I went up slightly to the next size BUT you will not give or donate them to a brother or sister. These are basically disposable boots.2. We spend time outside working, hiking, fishing etc. These are sturdy boots that saved a couple of toes from falling firewood. However, I make them waterproof. Much luck.

These are amazing boots for the price! My son loves them and they are much stronger than the ones he had before. We will buy them again when he outgrows them!

We bought these for my son for his Gatlinburg vacation after graduation, he doesn't usually wear boots but I think in this case he does. He seems to like her very much.

My 7 year old son is adventurous and wears these boots everywhere in the woods and trails including the river! They are durable, high quality and very comfortable. They even look brand new with all the mockery! Highly recommended.

I have 2 pairs for my two boys and they love them! They are very well made and I'm so glad they'll be walking in them instead of regular game shoes.
