💻 Dell WD19 180W Docking Station (USB-C, 130W PD) - HDMI, Dual DisplayPort, Black (Renewed) Review

Replaces a similar Revain product that failed in the home office. The built-in USB-C cable is separated from the pins. This device replaced him. Hope. Lasts longer.

The fan didn't work then it started to work intermittently. It appeared for seconds then shut off and came back about 7 or 8 times in a row and then nothing for hours and sometimes days. They sent me a second one and the fan hasn't turned on yet and I've had it for a few weeks now.

I can't get the multi-monitor feature to work. I have another Dell docking station that works fine. I've updated the dock drivers and firmware, but when I go to the support page on DELL.COM and type in the service tag or the Dell Express tag, DELL says it's not one valid number. The delivery is not original DELL, it is after-sales service supply.

AC/DC adapter provides power. Connect to the docking station and the power light will blink 3 times. According to the manual, this means that the docking station is receiving power from the source. It does not begin.

The fan noise was so loud it interrupted calls and was very distracting. Accelerated from 0 to 100 every minute or so in just a few seconds even though the device wasn't hot. Called Dell with my free new computer support and updated firmware driver. However, the noise or fan operation did not stop. Unfortunately I returned it to buy another model as the plugs and other features fit perfectly on my Dell XPS 9500 which unfortunately needs a 180w charger if I want to get rid of the power cord.

I've ordered 3 of these. The first one out of the box still had the previous owner's inventory sticker on it and wouldn't turn on. And it's not a small sticker - it's 2 x 3 inches in silver. The second has a broken USB connector - the blue plastic protecting the wires is missing. Both had to be corrected before being sent back and in the case of the second they weren't even sent. The third has random USB plug/unplug issues. I am returning all three for a refund. I don't want to use both with…
